Poor Ace. Dude can’t do anything with the ball except rise up and shoot. That shot looks good though and he’s probably high volume 3pt shooter from day one.
Harper is so nba ready. His D will play day one. He can get buckets too.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Prospects
Duke vs Kansas
Flagg- 13 PTS (5-9), 3 AST, 5 REB 1 STL 4 TOs
Flagg's offensive limitations were on display. He's not a shot creator at the moment. His offensive game mainly consists of straight line drives where he can get downhill and use his size and strength to bully smaller defenders. Kansas has a lot more size (KJ Adams) to throw at Flagg, and made sure he saw multiple defenders. He managed to get it going in the 2nd half when Duke was using him as a screener. Should look better playing off another creator and this will likely be true early in his NBA career as well.
Kneuppel - 11 PTS (4-14), 8 AST, 3 REB 1 STL
Rough shooting night but managed to contribute on offense with 8 assists. The shots he got weren't bad at all, he just couldn't make them. Struggled shooting against good teams this year. Looks too slow on defense and was a liability tonight.
Maluach- 4 PTS, 1 REB, 2 STL 1 BLk
Due to Vuc's inept defense, many people want an athletic rim runner, and Maluach is the only one projected in the lottery. Doesn't make quick decisions with the ball and looks uncomfortable if he has the ball anywhere outside the paint. Kansas blitzed the ballhandler every time he set a screen so he wasn't able to get the ball rolling to the basket. On defense, he was caught in no man's land a lot when defending the PNR. Looked bad against Hunter Dickinson and had to sit on the bench for most of the game until he got ejected.
Only 1 assist this season in 6 games. Just something to keep track of.
Rutger vs Notre Dame
Harper- 36 PTS (12-22), 6 AST, 6 REB
Don't be surprised if he's first on draft boards soon.
Ace- 10 PTS (4-12), 1 AST, 4 REB
I don't think he played badly but as stated in my last post can Ace create easier shots? Another game where almost all of his shots are difficult fades and pull-ups. Might have to reconsider his role in the NBA if his shot diet continues to look like this. Players like Tatum got to the rim more than this.
Flagg- 13 PTS (5-9), 3 AST, 5 REB 1 STL 4 TOs

As of now he has shown far more than anyone.
Still think Flagg goes number 1.
Harper will lead an elite offense and he plays strong D.

I suspect Flagg will go #1. But if by season’s end he still looks like a toolsy #2 option whose offense needs refinement, I’m not sure he’ll be able to hold Harper off.

From what I've witnessed so far, they're no generational talents in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Still a miles better than 2024. Each of top talents could easily outplay anyone not named Zach on roster.

Yeah, "no generational talent" doesn't change the math for us at all. Even if you assume there are no superstar talents, which is a pretty baseless assumption for most drafts anyway and this one sure looks good to me, this draft projects to be very deep as well.
Take a guy like Kasparas Jakucionis. The highest I've seen him projected is 6th but he's usually coming in around 12-18 in the mocks I've seen. He's not a generational talent. But he certainly *could be* a star NBA point guard. Among all the "next Luka" guys, which comparisons were every single time ridiculous on multiple levels, this guy actually does very much play like Luka and is just a hair shorter at 6'6 with an NBA ready body already in place. He's got the dribble maintenance, the vision, the creativity, the ability to manipulate in the half court based on understanding, the 3 ball. He's averaging 14/6/6 in 30 mpg and doing it as the co-PG alternating frequently on possessions. With 23/6/4 against Arkansas and 15/4/6 against Bama.
This is a guy who would have been in the conversation as a top 4 pick in last year's draft and he might go late lottery this year. Season is early and he could rise or fall, but you get the point.
We want in.

Yep. We need two picks in the top 20 and ours needs to be top 7.
Because the wings and guards are so good in this draft you could get your future C 16-20 in Maluach or Rocco.
Top 7 are all lead guard/wing potential.
This is why I think AK will have Vuc traded before the new year and Zach or Coby by the deadline.

Yeah that's pretty much what I've heard guys like Vecenie say. While there aren't any sure fire superstars in this draft (Vecenie views Flagg as a Franz Wagner type with a higher defensive ceiling), it's one of the best drafts in a while and even the playoff teams drafting outside the lottery will likely pick up some quality pieces to their rosters. If Risacher was in this draft, I'm not even sure if he'd be in the top5 conversation.
Also, speaking of Jakucionis, this was pretty sweet:

Superstars are rare. Why, because you need to be genetic freak to be one like Wemby. Those kind of prospects dont come to league too often. But I see plenty of star talent in this class. And more importantly plenty of players will be at minimum good players to get 2nd contract at rookie max.

I don't think the Hornets are going to rise, their C position is worse than the Bulls, they just lost Grant Williams for the season and LeMelo is made of glass.
If the Bulls unload Vuc and Zach I think then and only then they'll drop in the standings, if they keep them they'll be competing for the final play-in spot.
I agree the Sixers and Pelicans will pass the Bulls in the standings however.
Here to argue about nonsensical things and suck away your joy.
