The look on Flus’ face as time ran out…

It’s all good. When we hire Ben Johnson as HC and saleh as DC, we will go 19-0

Re: Bears 8.0: Season being flushed down the drain
I just watched that last Caleb sack.
What the hell was Borom doing? The Detroit player was able to run straight at Caleb in a straight line with NO block whatsoever.
People might say he should’ve thrown the ball away but this was unexcusable from Borom.

IDK what play you're talking about, but the Oline got smoked instantly if it's the same one I'm thinking of

Today’s definitely best case scenario as a Bears fan. After a horrible first half and feeling dejected and hopeless we got a great second half and while getting the win would’ve been euphoric consolation prize the hot seat for Flus should be nuclear meltdown level now.

I would blame that sack on him at all. He barely got the snap before having both ends on his back. They were untouched. 100% on the blocking. Didn’t even have time to throw it away
Why were they passing there to begin with is the bigger question. You were off schedule due to the penalty, so playing it conservative was the way to go in order to preserve the FG attempt. Flus doesn’t give this team a chance. Period. He is so indefensibly incompetent that you just can’t keep him in this locker room another day.

We all know he won’t be though.
Therein lies the real problem. Franchise rotten at the core. Ownership on down.
Bears should be 7-4. Poles biggest blunder is keeping Flus and this what many of us said over and over again when we got the first pick.

I disagree. 40 something seconds left inside the 40. You go for the win.

If you’re on schedule….sure. But we were behind the sticks and the last thing you can afford to do is lose yards there.

Clutch penalties. Clutch coaching errors. Clutch line failures. Bears football. Eberflus actually topped himself today. Where. Is. Poles?

He has to be gone. At this point his record in close games is a recurring theme. You can't just put it all down to dumb luck.

Call me naive but I think the McCaskeys pull the trigger. I can’t remember a better candidate for a mid season firing. No one loses this idiotically, this consistently.

100.
I call this the Caleb revenge game.
“How trash can I make the first half look for us to get down big. Dangit why does this defense keep bending but not breaking! Alright, at least we are down enough that TB and I can make a tremendous second half and not lose. Check, things going awesome. Dangit, defense keeps getting stops. Alright, let’s put together another game winning drive and let Flus f it up. Nice job Kmet! Crap, Santos might be able to hit this … hold my beer … alright, what can I do after this timeout to look good but not win … what, he’s not even calling a timeout, oh this is too perfect.”

Without those penalties stopping the Bears mojo, Caleb was winning that game today he had the light fully on.

By the way Bears, Chris Morgan got to go too wtf. Son poorly coached. And such bad judgement to hang onto him.

Dresden wrote:What could have been- Bears had so many chances. If Kmet doesn't get that OPI, if Caleb hits DJ on that little crosser, if Teven doesn't get that penalty, If Caleb doesn't take those sacks.
OTH, they made a lot of improbably plays to take it that far too- the big play to DJ, the big PI call on 4th and 14. So close again, but no cigar.
Encouraging as hell to see them play so well in the second half though. Facing the toughest part of teh schedule, they've come within inches of beating DET, GB, and MIN the last 3 weeks. Glad to see them fight like that.
We are the most dangerous really bad team in the league.

According to my first impression, Eberflus threw Caleb under the bus for that last play. Any other interpretation?
