As bad as Locke is, the running game is even worse. 12 rushing yards going into the 4th. Atrocious.

I’m generally the one railing on the fact that Wisconsin isn’t a big $ team or destination, so maybe this is the best we can do and we’re waiting/hoping on the young freshmen.

That said…the middling talent scabs like Walker is just killing me. That’s kinda what you’re getting in the portal in most cases without big $, but I just miss seeing explosive talent on either side of the ball as a Wisconsin fan.

I am also notorious for waffling in my emotions on this board in the Fickell era.

I’m back to the idea that he’s going to have to raise as much damn money as he can and go in on some established talent for next year to try to win 7 games against the brutal schedule next year. He’s not gonna get to see his young recruits make it to playing shape in time.

Well that was pathetic in every way imaginable
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

5 win teams are needed every year to fill the back end bowl games because there are more bowl spots than 6 win teams usually. So they take the best 5 win teams based on APR(academics) and Wisconsin will likely qualify based on their APR

This year some 6 win teams are going to be left out because there are more bowl eligible teams than there are spots.

Edit. There are 70 bowl spots, 82 if you include playoff spots. Wisconsin would be second in line of 5 win teams based on APR behind Cincinnati but these teams could all get to 6 wins and a bowl and knock Wisconsin out.

Cincinnati
Auburn
Virginia
NC State
Coastal Carolina
Michigan State
Virginia Tech (one of Virginia and Virginia Tech will clinch a bowl spot)
Eastern Michigan
Kansas
Appalachian State
North Texas
Western Michigan
New Mexico
Louisiana-Monroe

One of those teams will clinch a spot, if four more on that list win, they clinch too and there are enough 6 win teams eligible where 5 win teams won't get a chance.

I was always the Chryst and old regime supporter oddly now trying to give Fickell time but Chryst still is half the reason for this. Fickell has **** up acquiring talent but Chryst left him absolutely nothing.

Agreed. And the stupid decision to try to run a shotgun offense in WI. The entire Fickell regime has been a disaster so far.

Chryst also refused to modernize the program from a operations standpoint. He wasn't receptive to operational things that other programs were doing and he got fired for it.

Yeah, bowl isn't gonna happen. They could only have 5 at most of these go against them.

Even if Cincinnati loses, they're ahead of us in APR so they would get in before we would. One of the Virginia schools is in, Eastern and Western Michigan are playing each other so one of them will be in. North Texas already won so they're in so every remaining team on this list has to lose for us to make a bowl game.
