Pelicans are broadcasting all of their games on the local
Fox channel this year, joining the Suns and Jazz. Hope the Bucks do the same.

I think the Bucks are on Bally's again next season.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm half temped to the quit my spectrum internet service for a month just to reset my agreement with them and get a new 12 month deal. My bill came in today at it was $82.99 for 300 mb download. For new customers and those who haven't had service for 30 days, it's $49.99.
I might be able to survive at home without internet for 30 days if you give me $360.

Often if you call to cancel TV and/or internet they'll offer you a deal to stay. It's worth a shot. If the CSR you get won't help you ask to speak to retention.

I'm going to give that a shot first. It's worked in the past when I threatened to cancel TV service. The problem is Spectrum is basically the only game in town for internet here and they know that I can't really threaten to go with someone else.

Yeah, they hold all the cards when it comes to internet in most places.

Black Friday Streaming Deals:
Hulu - .99/month for a yr
Max - $2.99/month for 6 mos
Peacock - $1.67/month for a yr
Remember, Peacock will carry the NBA next season, w/ many of those games exclusive, including some for the Bucks. Plus they have plenty of exclusive Big Ten/Badger bball games. So you'd want to lock that in now if possible. Max has NBA this season.

I got YouTubeTV a week ago, my free trial ends today, I'm keeping it. They currently offer $20 off the first 2 months and half price on the 4K add-on for the first year. I haven't found 4K to be that great, it's just upconverted. But overall I like it. The best thing is you can share with up to 5 others. I have 4 including me so at the full price of $80 I'll be paying $20 instead of the crazy Spectrum prices. Unlimited recording. Multi view for live sports so you can watch up to 4 games at once if you wish. Like anything else it takes time to get used to the interface but I'm liking it so far. No Bucks/Brewers but Brewers will be doing their own thing next season and Bucks there is always a way to watch.

I signed up for the 4K add-on earlier in the NFL season and was really unimpressed. I stream Netflix and everything else in 4K flawlessly, but the football game kept buffering. I remember reading that other people have had similar experiences with it.

We really collectively gotta get better at warning each other 30 days out from Black Friday.

If you have an existing subscription that's about to expire or did too recently, I think you can still sign up for the Black Friday deal on a separate account. I was getting blocked on Peacock w/ my original account, but on a new 1 it worked.

Ohhh interesting thing popped up just now on the Fandual broadcast I was watching.

Maybe this has been in place all season and it's the first time more than two people in my family have tried to watch? Has anyone else seen this yet? I know it wasn't in place during the Brewers season.

Peacock quietly bans password sharing.
This won't make my parents happy. They use mine for Badgers sports.

I just went in like I was going to cancel my YouTube TV and they extended the current price for me for another 6 months before kicking in the price increase.

Re: OT: Cutting the Cord 2.0 - Black Friday streaming deals
My Spectrum promotional pricing is up 3/10, so I just called and did the song and dance with them for the first time. I had heard horror stories that they don't lower it and they call your bluff on cancelling, but I was able to get them to play ball with me and keep it the same for 12 months. I pay $175 for the 155+ plus TV package w/DVR and ultra internet which is like 500-600mbps. It was comical I was talking to Joe at the NYC call center to start for 6 minutes and eventually I said I know how this goes you can't do anything and I need to get transferred to the retention department or your manager to adjust pricing and he cut me off mid sentence and said thank you for saying the magic word transferring you now.
They wanted me to switch to a Xubo box which I had never heard of and they'd upgrade my internet to 1GB but I told them know because I no nothing about that and I haven't had any real speed issues.

Just verify that they didn't cut any of your channels to keep you at the same price. I did the yearly dance with them when my rate went up and it worked out. Until the last time when they told me they could give me the same price but DIDN'T tell me they were cutting my channels. That was it for me and I switched to YouTube TV. Canceling TV was an ordeal too.

I think I got hit with the same scam. Just tried to put on FanDuel Sports Network and it has the yellow key that says I don’t get that channel anymore.

Did you try calling again to get it back or just cancel and give up?

I was already 90% sure I was going to switch and this was the last straw. So I just called and cancelled. Retention doesn't make it easy. Took about a half hour. He kept trying to sell me mobile service
