Wiretap says Bulls are looking to move Lonzo I think we should dangle Bridges and see if they bite, he’d a better fit secondary defender and ball handler and can help lure Lamelo here

I've always said even before the trade that Mikal is going to either play like a star some nights and a role player most others. The problem is, he's not doing anything good in the areas that he's known for.

He can at least bring consistent effort defensively. If you're gonna play big minutes, extert max energy on defense and let the offense come to you.

This is how you know its not rational...WE WON THE GAME  Yet, the thread has so much negativity in it...
If we lose- ok thats fair but in a win...come on...
There are so many threads that you can obsess about Mikal, Thibs minutes -etc...
Is it too much to ask for US ALL to enjoy the win?! :banghead:

Normally id be less alarmed, especially if it was just offensively but he’s struggling to keep anyone in front of him. I can understand struggling against elite guards but Nick smith jr, who couldn’t score in college, was cooking him today. He hasn’t really even had a stand out performance yet either. It’s still early but you’d hope there be one great game by now and there hasn’t been.

With that knee that has kept him out years and might still end his career?
Maybe we can swap Towns for Embid, and salaries for Paul George too.

Looking at this replay right now on MSG
Team got going with the starting 4 played with Deuce. Not Mikal. Mikal looks way too light, gain some muscle and some weight. Because you’re not using your length at all to bother teams. Deuce really increased the defense and scoring with his time there.

If Mikal keeps this up , he will lose his starting job to deuce and rightfully so.

I’ve been beating this drum till the end of time. Starting lineup should be
JB Deuce og Josh KAT
and when Mitch or precious comes back
JB Deuce OG KAT Mitch/ precious

Deuce would be a big upgrade right now. Might help reset Bridges coming off the bench.

This game swung when Deuce was played over Mikal down the stretch. His presence is felt fighting off screens and constant movement

Sadly not for me. Despite all my accolades and “irreplaceability” I am still expected to give it all each day.

This. I'm not even mad about the defense and missed shots. Because I know any given night you can be off and just not have the energy to play D. But Mikal clearly wasn't focused out there.

Bridges made a bunch of bad passes, he bobbled the ball on a pass which would have been an easy layup and he botched another drive. A rookie would have been sent to the end of the bench for these boneheaded plays. Not a vet. All these turnovers on top of the misses were momentum killing and kept the Knicks from building a lead. A more talented team would've ran away with the game with because Mikal was a complete negative out there

It’s because of the way we won. We won by a point against a team playing without their star. The last game we lost against a team playing without three starters. It’s not about being satisfied with a one point win, it’s glaring weaknesses that are scary. Namely Mikal.

Brunson looked absolutely disgusted on the bench with his teammates

Trade the most durable player in the NBA for the least durable...interesting choice.

I'm still in his corner but the offense I can live with if he was doing everything defensively. I don't know if he's taking the offense on the defense end but need him to be more engaged and play with more effort.

If he was defending like a mad man and being physical and picking up the slack on other areas I think the fans would be more patient.
