It’s clear we’ve been the most (or at best, 2nd worst behind NOP) injured team in the league.

I don’t know why some of the TWO people have such a hard time comprehending data. It’s not like anyone is saying “I hope we go .500 the rest of the way and finish the season 40-42 in the 10 seed!”. Everyone understands that’s the worst cast scenario.

The context is Raps just beat a decimated Pelicans team. They beat a Sixers team missing Embiid. Let alone what these other teams records would be if they were healthy also. This isn't complicated at all.

And we lost how many 2/3 point games with Barnes/IQ/RJ/KO/BB/Dick injured?

Again, why is that ignored?

It's not ignored, "some" are simply not acknowledging the other side. Intentionally it seems.

You think anyone of these anti tanker would ever admit to mistakes??
We have years of terrible and soul sucking basketball when we watched teams gather assets and pass us by, and still they think they are right. They are just here for the sake of arguing. (I mean why come into a tanking thread in the first place? To spread positivity? Gtfoh  )

I'd like to know who those teams are that you think have gathered assets and passed us by. Surely you're not talking about ORL or NY, or PHI or HOU, any of these teams. In the last 2 decades I can't even think of a team that has surpassed us by tanking their way into a championship. We have built our team through drafting and trades (Kawhi) and won a championship FIRST before any of these teams did. ORL, Philly, HOU, NY has been tanking since I was still a teenager and has yet to win a championship. Philly the process? The teams that won a championship who've built their team the right way were us, Denver and MIL (by drafting a superstar in the 2nd round and the 15th pick. Prior to that it was only CLE who drafted a generational all time great, possibly the best player in nba history for them to get a championship.

All these teams that has gathered assets and has "passed us by" has yet to have the sustained success that we've had throughout the last decade with no championship yet to show for it. So get that garbage outta here man.

Like you ignoring our other wins and only hyper focusing on 2 of them?

Now, we can put the tank to rest and add some vets for this play-in push. I think we can get some solid ones if we dangle our 1st rd pick this year and Indy's 2026 1st rounder.

Thank god for that net rating showing how much better of a team we are than our record. Only good teams lose close games constantly.

Sometimes these stats can be misleading. As example, some teams are content to trade shots for 2-3 quarters just to show up in the 2nd half. But this will be ignored. One can usually find some stat to justify a position.

If Philly is just going to rest Embiid and PG all season, we should do the same. Once IQ and Dick come back, rest Scottie and RJ again.

that's true....the team works hard but when the other team clams up, we struggle due to lack of talent....

btw, i'm ok if the team ends up in the 5-10 range for the draft

Lol its funny how many people will try and convince themselves this team is a really good team....As if we aren't 5-15 and as if even when we are healthy we are an above .500 team....Even healthy we are prolly still a 30-35 win team....If thats impressive to you and something to brag about more power to you...

We do not have the overall talent to be a good team in the NBA yet...Thats why we are in year 1 of the rebuild....Have some patience...

We need a few things to go our way mostly in the next 2 up coming drafts....If some trades are made in between them we need to come out on top....And the continued development and improvement of the guys Masai keeps around long term is a must...

This will be a process we will not be an above .500 team and a good to great team for a little bit...

It's not a good team but it's probably better at full strength than (some) tankers may really want. They've blown a bunch of 50-50 games as is and that was with all the injuries to guys like Scottie and this is without vets like Brown/Kelly, who could be moved. So it's not hard to envision that they could play themselves into play-in contention, especially when these other teams like the Nets/Bulls start their big sell-offs in kind.

I think a lot of frustration should be better reserved to a terrible Eastern conference as that's the real reason why they'd even be competing for a play-in despite a possibly terrible record in the end.

Trying to juggle losing and good player development isn't easy at all though I think they've threaded that needle pretty well so far.

Right now I'm just wondering who they can flip Dlo to if they deal Yak to the Lakers for a future 1st.
