Kawhi Leonard Progressing Well In Return From Knee Surgery

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:45 pm

LA Clippers coach Ty Lue gave a positive update on Kawhi Leonard before Friday's game in Minnesota. Leonard has missed the entire season to this point, as he's recovering from offseason knee surgery.

"He's progressing well. He's been able to get on the court and do some things on the court, which is good for us," Lue said about Leonard. "So just still checking every box, making sure that he's doing the right things and his workouts are really good and making sure we don't let him get to the next step until he checks those boxes, so our medical staff has done a great job with that, making sure that we make sure he's 100% when he comes back."

Leonard played in 68 games last season for the Clippers. The star forward put together a terrific all-around season. However, Leonard was limited to playing in just two of LA's playoff games, as they fell to the Dallas Mavericks in six games in the first round.

Only to be hurt again within 20 games max.. I think he’ll retire before the contract is over.

More like he's progressing well with his efforts to play as few games as possible.

It's so ridiculous to hear their owner and FO team talking about why they didn't want to offer PG13 full max because of their future plans going forward and the roster aging too much and yet they guarantee another 150 million to Captain Street Clothes.

If they cared about those things, they should have traded both of them at last year's deadline and set the table for some chance of sustained success. As it is now, they are paying for 1 of them and have neither on the court.

Gee, who could have foreseen this!!? :noway:  :nonono:

It's absolutely insane the contracts kawhi and Paul signed after the years of mininal playing. The money per game played for these guys since they paired up must be ridiculous. I am so jealous.
