We only traded 6 1sts, and by way of the D, a younger similar player who is currently playing better.

He needs more time to gel -- I recall that Josh Hart was ready for the scrap heap in SL. Now we love him. Let's give Mikal some time, maybe even play him less than 38 minutes/game, and see how he does. This is a contract year, so we're not stuck with him long term if we don't want him. But we very well may!
Defense is about effort. He has all the attributes available to be a great defender. And has been in the past. Dont understand why there was such a steep drop off.

If we had this guy we’d be undefeated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thibs and the coaching staff need to revive this guy. Pull this back out of him. Resurrect this beast and we can win it all

Mikal for Dejounte Murray at the deadline. Another scorer and ball handler is what the starting 5 needs.

Re: PG: 3:30am in hk now, what an ugly win
I know people here want results and many want it now.
I can't guarantee Thibs will get the job done with this group but to me with 3 out of 4 very good seasons here especially defensively, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt (even if I present some reservations here and there) before making a final judgement.
That final judgement probably happens when both our rim protectors come back. Because Thibodeaus system has shown elite level defensive abilty when he has an elite rim protector and some strong defensive wings. Both are critical pieces of the Thibs formula.
Last year we kind of were up and down until we got OG then absolutely took off. This year we lost IHart, don’t have Mitch and then lost Precious in preseason too. Thats a huge hit to the rim protection aspect to his defense.
You can argue at this point that other coaches like the Celts coach, Houstons coach maybe even the Nets coach etc would get more out of this squad and might be right too.
However Thibs with an elite C and the strong defensive wings has proven more often than not can field an absolutely dominant defense in todays NBA.

Sadly the cost at the time for Dejounte was just 2 first round picks and Grimes. Much cheaper than the cost for Bridges.
Bridges is taking subtle shots at the offense but guess what? This offense has given him a ridiculous amount of open looks.....a ridiculous amount. Hes just flat out missing those shots.
Right now its definitely more him than Thibs at least from an offensive standpoint. If he was hitting his outside shots like OG was he'd be easily close to 20 pts a game right now.

Seems he finally received the memo. Hopefully not too late.
Turns out 7’ of heavy weight is bad for your feet but worse for your future earning potential.
Idk if he can stay healthy lean, but if he didn’t lose weight his career was most certainly over. Dude had some serious financial incentive to lay off the jambalaya.
I'm still giving Mitch a pass and blaming everything on Embiid
Fck Embiid now and forever
I don't think we've seen Mitch in that kind of condition before. If it allows him to stay healthy, that would make him a legit terror in the paint. Kind of anxious now to see him return, because it will transform our prospects instantly if we can get 25 hard core minutes a night from him.

BE BETTER!
Yet when making any trade you have the weigh the trade based on what you give up vs. what you got in return.
KAT was clearly the best player of the deal and 80-90% of the fanbase sees this now. The biggest issue was is we pretty much lost all our rim protectors in IHart, Mitch and even Precious. Randle did not provide any of that facet anyways.
KAT pretty much is better than Randle at practically everything and is clearly a significantly more efficient scorer too.
Our issue has nothing to do with the trade it has to do with not having any rim protectors at the moment in a system that desperately needs rim protectors.
