A win is a win.... ugly and lucky one but hope it helps the team to build some confidence. At least we fight.... but there is so many things not done well...

I only got to catch the end, but I liked NAW’s big smile guarding Porter Jr. at 93-90.

We are sooo much better in the fourth without Ant or Randle. Finch should be fired for putting them in over Naz and anyone else. We didn’t win because of Ant, we despite Ant. We didn’t win because of Randle, we won despite Randle. Just watch the last 4 minutes. The ball stops moving, bad turnovers, selfish shots, and hand grenades. My god these two are playing like ****

Ant and Randle poisoned it with ISO ball and Finch sat there smiling like a certain Roman emperor as his city was burning.

We are awful in the clutch. Thankfully we pulled it out!

We just can't play ANT and Randle together. The ball don't move, TO, others players getting cold....Trade Randle is the only solution as doubt he accept to come from the bench.

I agree with up comments. Tonight we win despite ANT and Randle. I'm okay with ANT having a bad night it happen.

Yeah, while we didn't play our best ball with Mike, ddv, naw, naz, rudy... the flow was better.. and, I felt more confident with that lineup.. Who cares about that though lol

Ant needs a bonus in his contract for 4th quarter +/-, turnovers, and assists.

You can literally see the entire offense shift when Ant comes in during the 4th. Everything on both offense and defense gets worse. This is made even worse with Julius added in. The your turn my turn led to repeated crunch time turnovers, and breakdowns. It just cannot be allowed to happen. If we really want to put our fate on whether Ant can hit bad shots and the rest of the team can stay in any kind of offensive rhythm or maintain defensive intensity when being excluded from the offense, then by all means maintain the status quo.

P.S, I have never seen a guy knee another guy in the nuts and his knee takes the worst of it. Rudy must have balls of steel ;)

As Jim Pete said, every shot is so difficult. The whole team should be thinking - "How can I make my teammates get a easier shot?". We only have Conley that can do it on a consistent basis. DDV and NAW can do it once a while and that is not enough. DDV isn't shooting well because he doesn't have many clean looks and everytime he drives to the basket is a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe have him run more two men stuff with Gobert?

Anthony Edwards has been a huge negative offensively in the fourth pretty much his entire career. Dude just completely sucks the flow out of the entire offense, he is a mess. Very frustrated with Coach Finch for not forcing him to play within the offense, it's been a problem since his rookie year.

Yes and no. There were times last year where he didn’t succumb to this hero ball BS. But you are correct that he has a tendency to do so. As a first or second year player that is something to work on, but otherwise fine. As the leader of the team, an All NBA and even MVP candidate it is inexcusable. If Finch cannot teach him then he needs to bench him, if he cannot bench him, he needs to be replaced by someone who can. By bench him I mean in clutch time and maybe even the entire 4th quarter.

At least we give what we currently have, not much but it was enough. Nowell and Kahwi absent. With them we probably lose this one.. we definitely have a problem when Randle and ANT are together on the court. No ball movement, poor spacing. Not surprising why we make our best run in the 3rd when both sits. As we need ANT even tonight he was not good, he still make an important 3, one steal when it matters. Tonight Randle effort in defense was night and day compared to previous games but still don't see how we can win with him.

Who's Kahwi?

Google is cheating.

Addedit: never mind... I eventually figured out must be a Conley's health joke.

Guest84 wrote:Every single possession that touches Rudy’s hands is an unknown journey. Fumbles every single time. Misses the initial post shot every single time. Turnovers on passes…it’s truly fascinating. You have to reward him but it’s absolutely with clinched teeth.

The way I deal with that is figure his turnovers into part of his shooting pct. Instead of a .600 shooter, he is .460 which is still acceptable considering we have to play him 43 mins this game (he is providing something). He is now a .750% FT which is very acceptable. Also, because he isn't getting the ball, he is more out of position. Some of those pass are also bailouts where he isn't in the right spot.

Not giving him excuses but as a whole, this team needs to work together and make each other better. Right now, sum of the whole is a lot worse than each individual add together.

Finch's free flow offense seems really hard to run.

It's actually quite easy, that is how we played with strangers in pickup games
