RJ just has to eliminate some of those bad drives you can see coming a mile away where he goes like 1 on 3 and has no intention of possibly passing to a wide open guy. That's why I keep saying a passing RJ is the best RJ because it keeps defense guessing.

At some point we gotta see BBQ together with Yak and see how things look.

Yeah BBQ Yak plus one of Agbaji or Dick will be good to see. I know it's been good for the tank but a bummer we won't get any look at them for another couple weeks

It shouldn't be hard to understand that if you play with no talent then that forces a player to do too much. Let's see how RJ looks with some actual offensive weapons out there before deciding a 24 year old is "not conducive to winning"

RJ actually had a decent run in the 2023 playoffs where they went to the 2nd round, which is more than most of our current roster has accomplished...

Yeah that playoff run is part of what gives me hope for RJ. He was 2nd leading scorer, 3rd in assists and was dealing with poor spacing offensively. He was starting beside Robinson, Randle and either Grimes or Hart.

We can't afford a perfect RJ. If he was perfect he'd be getting max money. Scottie is expensive, Gradey will be expensive, and our first next year may prove to be expensive. Also, expensive contracts are hard to trade.

Let's worry about having too many good starters when that happens

Chuck the 3 until you make it is the trend that you can't avoiid

Also our 3 best 3point shooters are out, eell Agbaji has been really good, but only as a corner shooter.

Would help in that regard still. Will be nice to see eventually.

RJ is back to exact shooting percentages as his NYK career. He's just doing it at higher volume on our depleted team.

Recall what GTSr said about most players reach their ceiling by their 5th year. Well, this is the 6th year for RJ, so this is what he is.

RJ was bad in the second half of this game, regardless of his point totals. He was horrible defensively and he tunnel visioned the team out of its offence. We lost rhythm on both ends and that was the game.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

RJ is being forced to self create this year and that’s why he’s back to Knicks RJ.

Look at midrange attempts. Last year he took 7 total midrange attempts with us. This year he’s already at 21.

Last year we basically removed all of RJ’s self created attempts except for rim attempts. If Barnes and IQ both get healthy hopefully RJ will go back to limited self created attempts (drives and c&s 3’s).
