He’s an MPJ with elite D right now.

You won’t see his D on highlights. I’m watching full games and yes as an 18yr old young frosh it’s elite. His IQ, contesting, rotating, anticipating, and how he uses his length in PNR to disrupt and recover.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Prospects
Harper is basically a black hole. Ace basically gets open kick out 3s. He’s rarely the PNR handler. The above doesn’t paint the whole picture. His biggest weakness is getting to the bucket off the bounce but he doesn’t get a ton of chances there either.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Prospects
Ace has an opportunity to run the PNR here but waves the guy off. Harper has the ball so much because he's the only one that can breakdown the defense.

Where would you rank Demin in your list if he had a 30% 3PT percentage (his percentage for the last 4 years)?
P.S. I love how with every new ranking you even learn how to spell names better

Hope to see "Jakučionis" in the January edition
I went to state in the spelling bee in 4th grade. Don’t do names well. Will abbreviate.

Demin’s shot looks really good. Excellent form, setup, release, arc, rotation. He shoots lots of tough 3s off the dribble, movement, and step backs. He will be a plus shooter.

He had a red hot shooting start and feasted on the terrible competition early on (they started their year playing against schools ranked 300 or lower), but now in 3 games against top100 schools (that aren't even elite) Demin averages 10 points on 26% FG, 12.5% 3PT & 80% FT. Dishes out 3.5 assists while committing 2.7 turnovers.

He’s going to be one to watch. There is so much to love about him. As a set up PG his ceiling really is ridiculous. He sees the game at a high level, is highly ambidextrous, has remarkable vision and creativity, his shot looks technically solid, and as far as I can tell he looks like a gamer who plays with fire. But that last part may be an illusion as I have not see whole games yet.
These are the types of guys I want. Do everything unselfish guys who project forward into where the league is heading.
Shooting is a concern. But right or wrong I deprioritize that in a prospect depending on technique and remaining other strengths. We got Matas at 11 in a weak draft almost certainly because of his shooting, despite plenty of reason to believe in time he would develop a reliable NBA 3. That looks to be a massive win for us due to the common trend of NBA front office groupthink that oversimplifies player contributions.
There are 5-6 guys already I really, really like in this class and it’s easy to see why it is so well regarded relative to last year. Egor is one of them, recent concerns and all.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

He is almost always mocked in the mid teens, sometimes even in the 20s. Barring injury this guy is going to rise big time. Based on what I’ve seen so far it’s hard to imagine him not being in the top 10. And he’ll be an early impact rookie due to his size/strength and advanced skillset and understanding.

Agree to the above. Demin projects into the future of the league.

I'm still a big VJ Edgecombe believer, even though his college career is extremely underwhelming so far. But I really don't care about that, because what he did in those FIBA Olympic Qualifiers sold me on him. He looked like the far and away the best player on that Bahamas team that featured Hield, Ayton and Eric Gordon. He was carrying them on his back at some points.

He’s an athletic freak but he has a long ways to go to even be playable on offense. His D will play day one though.
I’d only pick him outside the lottery. I’d take a guy like Will Riley over him every time though.

I think Edgecombe isn't all that far on offense to be honest, the way he dominated and overshadowed Jeremy Sochan impressed me, and he might just have one of the highest ceilings of all the prospects in this draft. I'm not going to write him off just yet because of a few college games. If he can't find some sort of consistency going into the March Madness, then I might start thinking less of him.
Riley is nice and might find a role from day one, although I get the feeling that he's a bit too one-dimensional.
