Towns, Bridges, McBride, Hart and OG are all very solid defenders. Give this some time, wait for our defensive bigs to return and stop these threads in the meantime.

6.Mikal Bridges
7.Eddy Curry
8.Joakim Noah
9.Elfrid Payton
10.Steve Francis
Wow only 20 games in and he is already over Eddy Curry lol
Mikals track record is way too good and he is way too young and healthy to think this is something more than just an extended acclimation period.
Of course we can not say that for 100% as nothing but Jesus is guaranteed for eternal life but man I aint ready to call him worse than Edy Curry just 20 games in either lol

Well of course my opinion of a certain player can change if said player begins to perform differently. For example I thought that Carlos Rodon was a top 5 worst Yankees signing until his 2024 performance. There was a time that I believed Eddy Curry was the future of the Knicks.
I get that it is not fair to compare a guy that has only played 20 games for the Knicks to some of the worst players in recent Knicks history, but the return on investment that we are currently getting puts Bridges in a class of his own. Having to wait more than a quarter of a season to get the production that we thought we'd get from him after giving up the package that we did does not sit well.

tells me because we have seen no Kat-sims lineups
is that thibs will at some point collect enough data and information to prove with no doubt that kat at the 5 wont work. it might take the whole season. but we will get there imo.

I have stated this on numerous occasions. KAT at 5 does invariably compromise the D but if you are only doing it part of the game that greatly mitigates the issue.
Instead of Sims who is a big fat zero out there you would have Mitch and Precious at the 5 for like 24 minutes a game.
This is one permutation that will ikely be in the range of what Thibs will try as Plan A....
15 minutes KAT off the court Mitch will play the 5 with 3-4 shooters at the other spots.
10 minutes KAT ON the court Precious will play the 4 with KAT at 5 but Precious playing 5 on D.
Other 20-23 minutes KAT ON the court Mitch/Precious will be out with KAT at 5
He will play more or less at 5 vs 4 on a matchup basis coupled with the ebb and flow of each game. Some nights he'll play a bit more at 4 but it will still be a significant amount of minutes at 5.

I hope you're right but Thibs is pretty pre-fixed on his rotations before tip offs and rarely seems to budge.
