I don't believe it. This organization is so braindead that I can see them shooting for the play-in again. They did it last year, why wouldn't they do it again?

It wouldn’t be the worst idea to try and off load some players to Portland. If we can make them better, we might get that pick eventually.

There’s not much on CHI that POR would want that CHI would be willing to move.
If anything, a CHI-POR deal would prob feature a return of the POR pick.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Lavine to LA for Russell, Rui and Knecht. If LA wants some up front help, could include Torrey Craig for Cam Redish. Redish and Russel expire after this season. Rui has one more. I think LA wins the West with Lavine.

No way Knecht being traded now.

I want to see Lonzo for a bad contract and 1st.
- Magic for Anthony and DEN or Magic 1st
Lavine for cap relief and future 1st.
Vuc and Craig for future 1st.
WE SHOULD BE TAKING BACK UNWANTED CONTRACTS for 1sts. Deals should not be longer than next season. Go into summer of 26 with cap space and young talent.

Lavine is five times more valuable to the Lakers this year. If they (Labron) want to win one more, this will be their last chance. So Knecht could be the cost for a shot at that title. But If they want to wait for the future, then they won't trade him, of course.

The Warriors need Vuc. They only really have one center, TJD, and he's a second year guy. Perfect back up for them. Looney is tough, but not very tall and has little offense. They need rebounding. So, Vuc for Looney (expiring) and Melton or Payton II.

That's not enough salary heading back from LA, the Lakers are right up against the apron and can't take back more salary than they send out.
Either way, I doubt Knecht gets included in any trade for LaVine.
Here to argue about nonsensical things and suck away your joy.

They aren't keeping Knecht & Reaves if they get someone like Lavine.

Did Guru write it?
EDIT: It says the Bulls "desperately" need to keep Terry and that "30 NBA teams" would love to have him. Interesting take.

Lol, idk, but I'd guess whoever did write it is indeed a regular poster here, so sorry if I offend anyone. It's just such a wildly preposterous notion that I had to share it.

The Caruso and DeRozan trades signal they won't.

I guess. I mean both are young with upward trajectories on cheap deals and are already playing at "rotation levels".
To be fair, I was surprised to see Terry has upped his shooting %...36% from 3 albeit on 3 shots a game, after 23% last year is impressive if it sticks. His FT% is at 78%, up from 58%. Add those to his defense, and it is easy to see a path for him to stick, where I seriously questioned that last year, but again, it's still early in the season.
Phillips, after a hot start has fallen back on his stats behind last year, but his minutes have been very inconsistent, but he has a nice highlight reel.
I might consider adding either to a deal in order to bring back a more valuable player/asset.

When I said it was interesting, I was being sarcastically euphemistic. There are a hundred guys on NBA benches who are young, on cheap deals, and on "upward trajectories" but still aren't any good. These are scrap heap role players. Interchangeable with ease during any offseason. If team wants either Terry or Phillips or both to take any one of Zach, Vuc or Ball I would include them without batting an eye. They mean absolutely nothing to me in rebuilding this team.

Perfectly explained. I agree despite genuinely believing that either could absolutely become pretty good NBA players. They're both quite good athletes with good bodies, good enough motors etc. But such guys aren't rare, are easily obtainable, and most importantly, rarely sniff their own ceilings.

Russell makes 18 plus, Rui makes 17 plus, Knecht makes 3 plus. Lavine makes 40. That ought to do it.

Yeah, all they'd need to do is attach 3 unprotected first round picks and we could execute the deal.
