Love Goga.

I don’t think I can handle this guy going back third string. He’s been huge for this team and makes everyone better when he’s on the floor.

Can maybe do some jumbo Moe-WCJ-Isaac-Harris or Jett-AB lineups with Goga starting

Ideally it’s

Suggs
KCP
Franz
Paolo
Goga

Unfortunately I don’t think Mose does that. It’s just complicated with Isaac and Carter needing minutes in the second unit. Just an unfortunate rotation situation when all healthy.

Yeah I meant for the bench, I can see him trying it though if he's trying WCJ-Goga. If the other team goes small maybe you can switch it up with TDS for minutes. But I also think it's rare to have the entire team healthy all at once for too long.

Suggs/KCP/Franz/Paolo/Goga
Black/one of GH/TDS/Jett/Isaac/WCJ/Moe

Ugly game, beautiful win because good teams win these grind out games. And we grinded that out.

NYK are just spanking the pelicans. They wont get tired while we are just banged up. Plus looks like Mikal is over that horrendous game. He is currently the leading scorer
Have you looked at their average minutes the team is playing? Thibs us running them into the ground. I'm surprised they haven't had any injuries yet.

Yeah well remember the SSOL Suns? I think it was Shawn Marion that was asked if they get tired with all the runnong around and they said nope, they are atheltes, they dont. Its the defense and bumping and grinding that tires them out.

Are the NYK as physically defensive as us? If not... then they wont get tired easily
Good point.

Philadelphia plays a cup game in Charlotte on Tuesday night, so PG and Embiid may not play on Wednesday night against us. We'll probably make it to Philly before they do. It's only like 95 miles from NY to Philadelphia.

They can play both games against us if neither play vs Charlotte

These are the type of grind out wins the really good teams get and we are now one of those teams.

They're out of it. Counts as much as any other regular season game versus a depleted Charlotte.

I kind of go the other way with it.

Philly is so desperate for wins at this point that I think they'll try and play their full strength squad against the weaker team.

That'd be nice.

I mean, regardless, if they want to throw around gimpy players against the Magic, I'm all for that too

I don't really expect Embiid to play regardless. Sounds like his knee is completely screwed.

Was it just me or did it sound like WCJ was calling out Suggs for complaining about the reffing tonight?

Probably just the whole team. Been getting a lot of techs lately.

Cole, Suggs, Franz, KCP, Goga all in two games.

Well, hopefully the extra hours of recovery time help us recover and get ready, with how much off an elongated, physical battle that was. I don't see how we're not battered and bruised after that game; obviously Suggs and Goga looked dinged up, but I saw Franz take a lot of falls, too. Hopefully Suggs playing only 27 minutes helps him be ready for a big game on Tuesday.

Also, the bench was kind of disappointing outside of Moe. I would hope that, when Suggs has to sit for long stretches with foul trouble, Anthony Black can give us more than 5 points, 1 assist in 20:00. Also Mosley deserves criticism for playing Cole significant minutes that darn near lost us the game. He probably also played Tristan, who didn't have it either tonight, too much and JI too little, unless he was having some injury or soreness that I haven't read about.

I take a healthy OKC over us slightly. SGA, Dort, Caruso, Williams + Chet & Ihart That's maybe the best PoA defense combined with 2 top 5 defensive Bigs.
