I think we need to allow Mikal to keep shooting from the elbows and above the break to prepare for the playoffs. He should gradually improve throughout the season with enough practice.

Opposing teams will eventually smarten up and not allow him to shoot from the corners. He will be left wide open from the top of the key.

Knicks will get called out for missing qide open shots, but in reality, the wide open shots will be from places they shoot low percentages from. Commentators and analysts (especially pro ballers) never go over shot charts in detail for whatever reason.

The Knicks just played the second game of an 13 game stretch where they play the Pelicans twice, the Hornets twice, the Magic twice, the Raptors twice and the Wizards twice.

The other games in that stretch include the Spurs, the Pistons and the Wolves.
