Morning thoughts

1. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Except guano and the trolls of course.

2. Felt good to be back home after that long trip! I like Crawford but nothing like Clyde and Breen! Game was over in the first quarter!

3. Happy for Mikal! He needed to have this type of game after all the hoopla. The 7 threes were a career high and that was nice and all but I was more psyched to see him play with that extra gear defensively. Brunson was looking for him all game and must have had like 4-5 assists to Mikal alone.

4. Sims was really good in this game. Did all the little things and grabbed every rebound! Give him credit, he's been playing well and doing his job the last few weeks!

5. Super proud of Deuce. Just think back to his rookie season where he couldn't shoot a lick! All credit to him for his hard work and credit to Thibs, Dice and the entire staff for developing him into the prototypical 6th man.

6. So many amazing plays in this game! OG's block, Sims goaltend and Hukster's alley with 0.2 left!

7. Surprised when Thibs sent in the bench with 9 minutes left but there you go. We have to be up 40 for Thibs to feel safe.

8. Have to pay respect to Lou Carnesecca. A true legend and a gentleman! All you kids here should read up on this man.

We are currently the #1 offense in the league. .600 win pace which is about 49 wins.

The biggest issue we have is for some reason OG and Mikal can't play well at the same time. I don't know what the **** their issue is but they gotta figure it out. Mikal more than OG.

yea i wanted him when the price seemed low and we needed another pg/guard last year (prior to the emergence of deuce)

Not trading Zion in that tiny healthy window was nuclear extinction for them. As insane as the AD trade was for them they're basically getting nothing out of it by not rolling Ingram forward into picks.

sorry Knick family I'm not buying into this notion that "fans" needed to hold Mikal (who is clearly not the type to be rattled) "accountable". Mikal is a player who may not be a #1 but he can put up 45 points and carry a team. When you come from
a team where your role was bigger- it takes time to figure out your new lane- especially a team that's this dynamic.

I was telling one of my friends a couple weeks ago that trading for Dejounte made zero sense. They have 3 ball dominant players in Ingram, Cj and Zion and they decided to add another one. What is their GM doing?

to be fair, as he said himself, the team clearly was looking to get him going. they ran some plays for him. they found him on cuts. it all matters.

Mikal's breakout is big because last night seemed like a milestone moment(hopefully) that occurred after things came to a head with his performance.

He was phenomenal both offensively and defensively. It seems like (for whatever reason) everything finally came together.

Hopefully this means he is back to being the Mikal we know. No reason he cant be . The track record is too good over mutliple teams and he is still well in his prime and healthy.

Mentally, I have us at about 52 wins. We're playing more consistent and the defensive anchors will ostensibly return.

When OG is playing "badly" he's at least playing defense. Seven stocks yesterday. I'll take "bad" OG with Mikal popping off. He's a more natural 3rd option imo. I really hope this is a turning point and not just a hot game.
