I wonder if a Jakobe/Gradey wing duo could become good enough longterm. If Jakobe can become a really great POA defender maybe...

Jakobe needs more reps in the PNR. He’s too talented to be used like rookie Gradey. He has on ball juice we should nurture.

Yup. And to tell you the truth, I have no idea what the ceiling is for most of these young guys. I see a pretty good floor, but honestly I couldn't tell you what Mogbo, Walter or Chomche's game is going to look like in 3-4 years. If someone suggested that any one of them would be allstar level, I couldn't refute that. I think they all have that potential.

I think we see where Gradey's game is going. It's just a matter of how elite he will become at the skills that he has. . He could be an allstar level player.

Even Shead could become a starting level PG. His 3 point shooting already looks like it is improving.

Scottie, IQ & RJ will continue to.master their craft as well.

This doesn't even include future draft picks. The cupboard went from very bare to very full quicky.

Honestly it doesn’t even matter if there is no star potential . In one fell swoop we now have a young promising players and a bench that was better than last year.
We may have one more chance with a high pick this coming draft to get that star.

What’s the full guard rotation?

Quickley - RJ - Dick - Jakobe - Ochai

All play backcourt. Quickley has the cleanest fit at PG.

When Quickley sits, you can play Jakobe / Dick / RJ alongside Scottie as the defacto PG. Ochai is probably a 15-20 MPG guy when everyone’s back.

Well all those players not gonna be there long term. For this season for sure I was more talking about long term.

And if you keep drafting like we have been the last couple of years, even if you don't hit on a mega star draft pick. You are still sooooo much better positioned to trade for one if/when the opportunity ever comes up.

Gradey with him as backup... not bad youth at the SG slot...

Ideally we might get the most juice out of him at the PG spot. Might not be the most conventional pure PG but his ability to snake screens and get into the teeth of the defense is tantalising. He can make that love pass, pull up jumper or get to his floater game. As a secondary facilitator with Barnes that might be cool..

Walter
Dick
Ochai
Barnes
Mogbo as a bench rotation in the future

we in asset accumulation/rebuilding phase, so it's more about seeing who pans out and who doesn't, and who could be flipped for better fits

looking at the highlights, jakobe seems like either a long-term SG or a guy off the bench.

The kid is smart and smooth. I think its safe to say already that he's going to be an NBA player, and is not any bust. And he's got some real potential.

He's like Podz, rebounds well and has some playmaking. Might be a better defender.

he's got confidence. At 20 with minimal experience and game reps, that's huge

Although nothing elite, he got solid all around talents.

Has looked pretty good in his 3 starts. I honestly didn't expect much considering people were saying he was another GTJ. I'm liking his potential.

That guy signed for the minimum and still managed to be disappointing. Oof.

Do we want to add him to our BBQ platter?

BBQ Kobe Dick sounds scrumptious....

IQ is the type of guard Walter can learn some tricks from as well. They have the same type of movements to their game. Next summer they should be besties.
