I went to the game in Orlando last season the evening before the RJ/IQ for OG trade was announced. They were clearly bummed out and already knew what was going down and got their asses kicked.

Franz was playing really well and Thibs had RJ on him much of the time which was nuts as there was nothing RJ could do about that and Wagner ragdolled him. In hindsight, considering Thibs had to already know RJ was leaving, if feels like Thibs was flipping off RJ by putting him on Wagner. It was just perverse.

This is a tough game. Magic are 10-3 with Goga in the lineup, all without Paolo.

Do you think they are for real or just catching a hot streak?

Dunno. I haven't watched them. They're for real in that they're well coached and have a strong defensive mindset. That's always a tough out. We have more top end talent but we've struggled against teams with their complexion.

I haven't watched Magic either.

But Wagner brothers are for real, just look at how Germany won the FIBA world cup, so even without Banchero (many compare him with Melo) they still have winners in this Magic team.

Good to have a real test after a quarter of the season.

post them up and play inside out game all the time

this is what thibs likes to do and it usually sucks because it takes too long to get the ball into the post and then make a move/play

hart was emphasizing when teams switch on them they have to up the pace, constantly attack switches, make them make errors on the defensive end. stop standing around waiting for guys to seal off mismatches and throwing it into the post with 9 seconds left on the clock

I was thinking off ball actions/screens and cuts will help. Stagnating into iso ball plays into their hands.

Also, pushing off of every defensive rebound.

This team definitely needs to push the pace especially against good defenses.

But to consistently push the pace Thibs needs to use the bench to spread around all that energy usage.
