They had the easiest schedule to start the season.

Maybe this time they will finally blame Pelinka and not coach number 5

Lakers are not serious about winning championships because they keep on relying on a soon to be 40-year old Lebron.

This is only the start and it will keep getting worse until they hit rock bottom in a couple of seasons.

Thunder (#1 defense) and Celtics (#1 offense) lapping the field in EPM ratings.

It could be a case of us just not watching enough of other teams' games. When I do, I'm not impressed with their defense either, except for maybe OKC and Houston. In today's NBA, it's just hard to sustain high-level defense for most of the game. It would be insane to expect anyone to go hard full 48 for 82 games. But we've seen glimpses of the Celtics clamping down when they need to. As long as I know that they can do it esp when fully healthy, I might be content with that, at least for early part of the year. Our offense will always rank high because we're cheating with the three-ball lol (both in volume and above average accuracy).

That's how great the Celtics are.

Doesn't feel they're great, but this will end up as one of the best in history if they repeat.

I NEED to say this, Wemby is top 5 player so far this season and people aren’t saying it! If they are, WE NEED MORE PEOPLE! Deadass watching a 20 year old dominate the league and he’s nowhere near his final form, body and experience! It’s already so easy for him!! He’s a better defender, it’s not close, than most of the league! He’s been been the best defender, hell, he deserved DPOY last season!

I know people are amazed at the things he can do, but I still feel like he’s criminally underrated! It’s like we see it, but aren’t putting it into context. This guy is great already!

Injury god don’t trip on him!!! Just let ME enjoy watching this until I go to the upper roooom! I’m begging!

I have been enjoying him, peacefully, on my own this season, but sometimes I want to see people talking about him and this is the place I pay attention for basketball. I catch snippets from player’s podcasts and I see some commentary every now and then, but they don’t hit like when we discuss things here.

I feel like he needs his own board and I don’t mean Spurs!

He's currently 7th on NBA.com's MVP ladder behind KD. Feels just about right. Davis might get kicked out of top 5 soon since Lakers are slipping. The other 4 in the top 5 -- Jokic, Tatum, Giannis, SGA -- all seem worthy of their spots. I hate that LaMelo Ball is in the top 10. Inefficient chucker who's allowed to do whatever he wants. Empty calorie production on a bad team until proven otherwise.

Shak_Celts wrote:Lbj has been stat padding for years! Goes back before the bubble where they won in the most optimum circumstance for a team like that!! Idc!! Not saying it wasn’t a real chip, just saying they wouldn’t have won in normal hard circumstances IMO! If Celtics had won I’d be happy too, you play the hand you’re given. Just think LBJ is getting the numbers but their team has been terrible forever! Would prove more true had they not given 10 teams a chance the last few seasons!

Could be hating but I’m sticking beside it!

Can't remember who exactly, for some reason my brains says Gilbert Arenas, but whoever it was said if you have to wait until you're 39 years old to be considered the GOAT (i.e. pad stats for several seasons so you can make your case) then you're not really the GOAT. Simple and great answer imo. Now if you want to crown him MDOAT (most durable of all time) then cool. Hang that banner up next to your bubble one while you're at it.

I hear what you’re saying about 7, I wouldn’t argue it because it would be in ways I’m too lazy to research. I was being conservative saying top 5 honestly. I wanted to say 3.

Washington Wizards have lost **14** in a row. Celts have WIZ 2nd this year, shaping up as a strong chance at pick 31.

This is from Brad Stevens trading down on draft night ‘23 before grabbing Jordan Walsh! Front office MASTERCLASS by the C’s

Yeah, I guess I'd take a shot then. I definitely don't want to use our first on him and give him that guaranteed deal.

Every hoops fan should see him live at least once. It's one thing to see what he does on TV, it's an entirely different experience in person. If you haven't seen him live, it's hard to understand how much he warps the geometry of court so that might play into why he is underrated. Plus you know, he plays defense and the media doesn't care about that.
