Replace the board and rim with twin metal uprights.

Keep the ball, use the same material but make it oblong. Add laces.

Contract the Boston franchise.

Case clothed.

Scalabrine suggested just give people 3 points for a dunk, or define a close up shot that has that value like the charge circle. Midrange is still devalued but if you want to get away from the 2 minute clip from Lakers Suns of trot down chuck a missed three, and see somebody run a play, I don't hate it. Giannis would average 50 tho.

I like point #3. the idea of every made attempt = 3 has a ring to it but the ring is flat. how will AJJJ dribble in that game. At the end of the day, case loathed.

bIg O’s idea is sharp. personally I couldnt make the leap after 7th grade from lady’s to man’s ball.

Back to the game.

I’d like the Bucks to win this one.

I saw Kelly Dwyer today say that they should limit three point attempts to 33. I don't even know if he's serious but I think I like that?

It's a good start. Don't forget to add 4 women per team.

You could have the three point line disappear after 33 attempts - like it’s a digital floor and the markings automatically disappear.

All these proposed 3PT changes are so gimmicky that they'd never work, and nothing's ever gonna change until they just flat out let them play perimeter defense again. Like, you can't even close out hard anymore because everyone's rightly terrified of being whistled for a landing zone flagrant foul. Every slight bump on the perimeter is called whereas you can absolutely assault someone in the paint still. Screeners are now allowed to pass-block like offensive lineman and never have to set their feet anymore, etc.

Silver has presided over the most inflationary offensive imbalance in the history of pro sports and doesn't seem at all incentivized to do anything about it. So I wouldn't hold my breath, because this is likely exactly how he envisions his ideal NBA (un-regulated 3PT variance = artificial parody). Never thought I'd see more of an offensive/defensive imbalance than the late 2000's/early 2010's period NFL passing explosion, but here we are, and it's **** gross.

MarJon out. Neck spasms.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Khris is probably ready to go to at least cover MarJon's regular role.

The 500k is icing. It involves no sacrifice. Its easy to care about.

Whether to chase money or title chances is much more nuanced. Weve seen it go both ways depending on the player

It involves the sacrifice of playing the extra game, tougher 82-game schedule, less home games, & time w/ your family. I'm saying this can go both ways depending on the player too. May not be worth the extra 500k to some who've made hundreds of millions.

At this point it looks like you're semi-arguing a player/team might want to take an intentional L in a game that counts to avoid playing a game that doesn't count. Or maybe lose 2 or more to get an easier schedule in 2 games? ;)

I'm suggesting the motive probably won't be non-existent among NBA vets to not want to play the extra game, travel more, & get a tougher regular season schedule. If it impacts a key player, that's all it may take.

I hope the Bucks win tonight, but if they even get blasted, w/ some lackluster vet play, it'll be in the back of my mind that one team had major positive incentive, and another had a range from moderately positive to possibly negative.

There's got to be some major positive incentive to win 7 straight, cup or no cup.
