Mosley didn’t have the team ready for the stakes of the night.

The team did this down the stretch last season when they could’ve easily had the 2nd seed and HCA if they could’ve closed out/shown up for just a couple of games.

We need to see growth here, from both Mosley and the players.

If embiid will play tomorrow and Goga is injured... we are doomed.

Isaacs regression on the offensive end is alarming. He needs to drop weight fast. 25 mill for 13 **** minutes off bench every night

Goga was getting killed by Embiid when we played the 76ers earlier this season

Same with last season

Isaac was the one who clamped down on Embiid earlier this season while Goga played shortened mins

It's a minor critique for Mosley because the team looked unprepared and the game plan was inept. Not sure why people are so defensive.

I'm not married to Mosley but I don't get the critique because EVERYONE knows our weaknesses going back to last year and the FO did nothing to fix it. That's not on Mosley. Other than the braindead moment where he left Jett in the game with 2 seconds in the half on a defensive possession, I can't even recall too many other egregious mistakes. He benched WCJ. He tried Jett. He tried to let AB do something. We just suck on offense and will continue to suck on offense with these 'shooters'. Goga being out hurt our defense but we are literally the worst shooting team in the league.

TLDR: We will NEVER be a contender in this era as the worst shooting team in the league.

We have acquired some shooters, but getting dynamic shooters that can explode any time will really help us spacing the floof.

I feel like Suggs is being asked to do things he would not ordinarily be doing if Paolo was playing. Once Paolo is back, he should be fine.

Mosley gets the heat because he's the public face, we never see Weltman/Parker. They're rarely transparent. So posters on the board direct the hate towards the public face while Weltman can duck the smoke, even though as you say, our weakness is something that isnt a secret

Acting as if its as simple as "attack the rim more" is so simplistic

From the first half that I watched, we just missed alot of open jump shots which is what the defense was giving us.

This is how teams play us because we dont have enough shooters/players who can create their own shot

Yeah we’re down guys, but that’s no excuse for how unprepared the rest of the team have looked. Young guys are excused. Our league best defensive backcourt wasn’t injured though and NY made a laughing stock out of them. WCJ, Isaac and Moe have had no answers for NY’s frontcourt which has no size outside of KAT.

This was a simple test of readiness: “just don’t lose by 30”. Magic did their damned lazy best to flirt with that all night. Nah, they need to reflect on that one. Sit and stew in the disappointment they cooked up for the last 48 minutes.

NYK is a big measuring stick game for us despite our 12-1 record in the last 13 games. We just f*** up on a national TV game. You wanna know what the national audience and media would think of us? No, do not put Orlando Magic on national TV.

Nationally televised games are severely overrated and rapidly becoming less and less relevant. This game being on TNT changes absolutely nothing about the wider public opinion/perception/popularity/etc. of this team.

The NBA should have kept the Mavs vs. Grizzlie game. It's actually an important cup game because Mavs can be a wild card if they win even though the Grizzlies are out.

I am taking this loss with a grain of salt, although I really think this team needs another scorer/shooter/creator even when Paolo comes back. This could be a sixth man, not necessarily a starter.

I may get some heat for this, but Jett looks useless especially if he can't shoot. I don't know the difference between him and Houston honestly.

Damn, going through this thread there are a lot of overreactions, lol. Would not have thought the Magic were sitting 3rd in the east, lol.

3pt shooting percentages of players on this team:

Queen: 100%
Joseph: 41.7%
Gary: 37%
Paolo: 34.4%
TDS: 34.3%
Franz: 33.3%
Mo: 33.3%
Jett: 32.3%
KCP: 31.8%
Cole: 31.6%
Suggs: 30.4%
AB: 28.4%
JI: 27.3%
Houstan: 17.6%
WCJ: 17.4%
Goga: 0%

It's a MIRACLE that we 15-8 with those shooting numbers. The Knicks have six rotation guys shooting better than 40%. SIX. They have EIGHT guys that would be above Gary Harris on our list. Really, let that sink in.

I know its hard to draw conclusions without Paolo. Oh and if it wasn't clear before, Goga is our starting C. Pathetic paint defense from WCJr.

Despite no Paolo/Goga, we cant continue to ignore the elephant in the room.....3pt shooting. We might be able to win during the season high number of games with our defense. But playoffs? Were not winning a 7 game series shooting < 30% 3PT.

Weltman needs to address this.

Good point!
However - very surprised Mosely could not get our team up for this game!
Very disappointing.
