Great win, so nice to see this team trending upwards. Keep it going!
Giannis is so impressive this season with his mid range game. That’s incredible to see.

Bucks did a really nice job containing Jaden Ivey. He's greatly improved this year, but you wouldn't have known it last night.

Nah. They found out Pat sucks and Garbage time is for getting youngins burn.
I'm disappointed that Pat not playing didn't set off a firestorm of trade speculation. We're getting lazy.

It's true. Paul Reed should play ahead of him. I'm guessing Detroit is pretty desperate to trade him.

Two quick items:
1. When was the last time a Taureen Prince jumper hit anything other than net? His makes aren't just going in, they're perfect swishes.
2. AJ Green gets the worst whistle in the NBA. Do refs just think it's impossible for a white guy to play good positional defense?

Yes, its frustrating that the officials don't even give AJ Green a chance to play defense right now. But Giannis somehow still gets the worst whistle in the NBA, despite being in the conversation for world's best player. Giannis must be in a great head space right now because if I would have been called for those back-to-back non-existent fouls before half furniture would have been flipped and techs would have been given.

Re: PG Detroit: 7(10) Straight
Fun game. 23/41 from 3 is going to win most of the time. Right now, we're seeing the formula: Shoot a good percentage from 3 (Bucks are 3rd in the league in 3 pt %), Giannis dominates the mid-range and down low, Dame gets buckets everywhere when needed.
Have to give Doc some credit here. The Bucks are shooting a great percentage from 3, and getting up a lot of attempts considering Giannis rarely shoots a 3 (credit Doc there too?). Its somewhat unusual in that just about all of these guys are having decent to great years from behind the arc:
Lillard - 36.7%
Portis 35.5%
Lopez 36.4%
Trent Jr 39.1%
Green 49.5%!
AJax Jr 36.4%
Prince: 56.6%!
Wright is really the only outlier of the current rotation at low volume 23.3%.
The big question is where is Khris's minutes coming from?

The math game has come around a bit, but we're still dead average (15th) in 3PT attempts per game and you'd like to see that number much higher considering how well the role-players are shooting it. Bobby in particular needs to keep launching to open up driving lanes for Giannis and Dame.

I think when you have the leading scorer in the league on your team, and he rarely takes a 3, it skews the #s a bit. Top 10 is probably still possible, but I don't think they're far off from where they need to be.

Re: PG Detroit: 7(10) Straight
Yeah, there’s been a significant 3pt explosion across the league this year and I hate it.
We’re 15th in attempts, but would have been 8th last season with the same number.
Boston was 1 st in attempts last year at 42.5, and is 1st again this year at over 50. It’s super gross. Hopefully the averages will come down as the season progresses, but I’m not sure it will much.
I like the Bucks at 38-39 which they’ve been over the last 10.
Part of me still buys into the idea of not getting overly 3-reliant, because those shots can dry up some in the post season, and then you need to be comfortable doing something else. Maybe that’s a dated take, but it’s where I’m at still.

The winning streak probably mutes the desire to trade away a draft pick.

He’s such a good player. Also is there a better white guy on ball defender than him outside of Caruso? Now he just needs the Caruso whistle

Re: PG Detroit: 7(10) Straight
We got good 3-pointers cuz we got in and around the paint 1st. That's usually the key. Get it to Giannis at the elbow now in triple threat. And Dame got better screens which allowed the mismatch for him to get downhill. Got to the bucket these ways also.
It's the best offensive synergy we've had, and it didn't so much entail the Giannis-Dame 2-man game. Dame more patiently waited his turn and was effective off ball. Hopefully it's something that continues. But it's a small sample.
On d, the Bucks weren't giving up free runs to the rim & were rotating well. Prince deserves a lot of credit. Got in passing lanes & is actually a superior rim protector to Bobby. Offensively it's efficient & he's carrying on the 3-pt celebration legacy here.
