It's a MIRACLE that we 15-8 with those shooting numbers. The Knicks have six rotation guys shooting better than 40%. SIX. They have EIGHT guys that would be above Gary Harris on our list. Really, let that sink in.

Jesus Christ, Gary is the only real rotation player shooting above 35%? This is atrocious. Im sorry but don't expect to go beyond first round at best with those numbers. I cant believe how bad collectively this entire team is at shooting. And its not like were not getting good looks. Read something were like top 5 in open shots. Yeah this is all on the front office.

I know Suggs is driving to the rim less so far but how much exactly? Anyone got numbers on that? I know my eyes aren't deceiving me, he's not attacking the rim as much as I remember

Warriors - Nuggets game was lit.
Warriors jumped on +10 in last quarter and somehow blew it in last 5 min. And yet another Jokić masterclass.

They definitely should have, because everyone ended up being healthy and the game was great

Schroeder is interesting, he is expiring so Brooklyn cant expect to get much in return (like us, when we traded Evan).

Ideally Brooklyn would want an Expiring contract plus a few SRPs for him and i m sure many contenders will be willing to do that.

He makes 13 M

We cant send them expiring contract unless it involves Moe (so it s not gonna happen)

However we could use Den s FRP to dump cole

Den FRP + Cole for Schroeder makes a lot of sense for both teams

Brooklyn gets a FRP and Cole (who could benefit from a change of scenery, he might blossom in New york)

Orlando gets a very good back up PG and dumps cole s contract

If things go well with schroeder, Orlando could sign him long term (on cheap contract ) this summer , using the money they have spent on COJO + COLE

Box score thoughts:

Well from the rants above, this one's kind of simple.

Orlando lost the FG% battle and lost the game.

A couple thoughts on that.
1) if M-Wagner didn't put up gem numbers in scrub time, the Magic lose this by 40; i.e. M-Wagner's scrub minutes (and Houstan's gem of a plus/minus at +14) got Orlando into the cup-quarters. That strong 4th quarter (oddly) mattered.
2) Orlando's perimeter defense was bad. Really, really bad and ....
3) New York's perimeter defense was good. Really, really good.

Well: this game of HORSE is over. Orlando always loses at HORSE, so don't try.

4) Bonus thought. if we take out the 4th straight gem of a shooting night from Caldwell-Pope (he was 43% this game with the long-ball), the rest of the Magic was 6-32 (18.75%). YUCK

In conclusion: Bitadze should start over Carter. Here's hoping the Georgian's ankle heals quickly.

Wow, that's some stats ... still we've all been saying it here for YEEEAAAAARRRRRSSSS we need 3pt shooting role players on this team. Hopefully KCP comes good but it's been a weakness since forever
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

Yes... nowhere to go but up. Peak D12 we win a game we have 30-40pages. We lose a game we get 60-70 pages as well as trade threads and other doom and gloom stuff

Well, at least we made the final score look pretty "normal" in the end. The pattern of us consistently playing some of our worst basketball in big games is starting to become pretty disturbing, though. It's not really balanced out with good performances, either, unless you count the playoff home games last season.

Suggs is shooting horribly these season. I am worried. He was 0-8 with the longball in this game.

In total, 11 Magicians had a missed 3-pointer.

It's not like we haven't tried, kcp was supposed to be a knockdown 40% guy, TDS was supposed to be a great shooter, jetts ability to shoot was the entire reason we drafted him. Guys just come here and forget how to shoot, no idea what it is. I feel like at this point we could bring in Steph curry and he'd find a way to shoot only 30% from three.

It's a minor critique for Mosley because the team looked unprepared and the game plan was inept. Not sure why people are so defensive.

I'm not married to Mosley but I don't get the critique because EVERYONE knows our weaknesses going back to last year and the FO did nothing to fix it. That's not on Mosley. Other than the braindead moment where he left Jett in the game with 2 seconds in the half on a defensive possession, I can't even recall too many other egregious mistakes. He benched WCJ. He tried Jett. He tried to let AB do something. We just suck on offense and will continue to suck on offense with these 'shooters'. Goga being out hurt our defense but we are literally the worst shooting team in the league.

TLDR: We will NEVER be a contender in this era as the worst shooting team in the league.

Apparently, people watched the game and saw how bad they fell apart in one that mattered. Sorry that everyone isn't cheering for the occasional made shot..."the first 3 minutes were awesome" :noway:
