Put Respect on DeSagana Diop's Name

Post#1 » by Bloodbather » Wed Dec 4, 2024 10:20 am

Guy lasted more than a decade in the NBA without knowing how to play basketball. That's very impressive.

We're hopeful Khalifa Diop can do the same thing.

Duncan in game 7 against the Mavs in overtime says hello!

Anyway, Diop might not been a great basketball player, but he later became a coach, saying he had some IQ, but lacked the skillset. At least he had the IQ to understand his role, starting 18 out of 22 playoff games for the Mavs in 06.

Impressively long career for a 7 footer. Back up for the back up 3rd center. Carved a long career out of it, was probably a great guy to have for practices. Either way better than any of us and made bank.

I know its a troll thread, but its good opportunity to talk about talent in todays NBA.
Todays NBA is so deep that guys like Lonnie Walker, Justin Holiday, Dennis Smith Jr, Robert Covington,.. cant find a roster spot.
They would all easily be top 8 rotation guys in early to mid 2000s...
Diop probably couldnt crack even the worst center rotation in the NBA, Pelicans rotation.
