That's not true. He won a championship being the best player in 1-2 series'. Averaged an efficient 25/9/5 thru a series w/ an ankle injury last yr. Similar stats in recent playoffs to Tatum, Butler, etc. When he's healthier he's still better on d than Dame.
Their salaries this yr are all fair to good by NBA terms. Dames' contract is unequivocally the worst of the 3 cuz there's little disparity between him & Khris in the playoffs, & Dames' rapidly escalates into likely over the hill years. Next yr he makes 58, then 63 at 36. Khris makes 34 at 34. May well decline his option next yr & restructure.
good post but you forgot the most important part. khris is maybe the best fit next to giannis as any guy on planet earth.
if both those guys are dialed in its a 1 + 1 = 3 thing. we talked alot about bud being gone and how his systems gave the kind of gravity that made everybody else better. thats been gone to some degree the last several years and bud should get some credit but i think its also the fact that giannis/midds have been in and out so much that the role players have suffered. we have a different look every night and the guys dominating the ball still havent figured it all out. midds creates flow and slows things down and makes things easy for others even if hes making it look hard for himself.
dame is a stud but hes a 1a. as is giannis. to me they both seem to have absolutely no idea how to be a 1b let alone a 2 or 3 in a team concept
Midds acts both as a pressure release valve and force multiplier.
Having him off side for Dame/Brook action will be incredible
