Re: PG Hawks: Loss
I counted four times they got beat for a layup after a make.
That is the difference in a game like this.

Re: PG Hawks: Loss
Doc put Pat in just so the stat remains that they are undefeated when he doesn't play
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

You can't expect too go on a 60-game win steak.
With that said, a good nick name for GTJ is Gary Bird.

Back to back sure but highlighted a lot of our problems with the team.

The 4th was one of the ugliest quarters of basketball i’ve seen in a lone time.
Hawks: “We’d like to hand you this game on a silver platter.”
Bucks: “Nah, we’re good.”

Re: PG Hawks: Loss
Frustrating loss but Atlanta is a scrappy team and it was on the back end of a b2b.
Idk why Trae chooses to wear his hair like that, maybe he thinks his weird thinning mop is good branding like AD’s unibrow?

Re: PG Hawks: Loss
Hawks show our weakness which is Long Boi athletic defenders that play the passing lanes. Dame is too short and Giannis struggles against the same types, Khris is really needed for matchups like this.
Also Hawks have beaten Celtics and Cavs 2x, so they get up for the big games. This is a playoff matchup it would be preferable to avoid.

Re: PG Hawks: Loss
Dame 8/14 25 points
Giannis 8/14 31 points cannot say Giannis had his best game but our stars played relatively well. Hawks shot 28% from 3 and we still lost comfortably
So far in the season Giannis has career highs in points and assists and Dame has played well and we are around 50% with an easy schedule. We had a good streak after inserting AJJ in the lineup but we also had a soft schedule. I don't think this team can have championship aspirations even with Middleton back. We are lacking speed and defense/energy. If we don't want to waste another year of the Dame/Giannis pair we need upgrades.

Begging Horst to sell Jackson to a team dumb enough to give something up for him.

Every game for Trae is a pube game.

We have 1 win against teams with winning records. I’m not ready to say we are close to a contender yet.

Giannis missed layups and free throws and Dame had crushing turnovers that ended in Hawks dunks. No one played well. I understand that fatigue was a pretty clear theme of the game.
I did like that we produced a ton of wide open 3s. In any other game that's a win for us.
This game was a good reminder though that we still need quick combo forward. Badly.

Doc shouldn't have gone back to either dude in the second half. This is where he needs to be a better coach.
Everyone was bad last night but not sure why Gary Trent, Jr. got 31 minutes. I don't care if AJJ is overaggressive or AJ Green's shot isn't falling, they're superior options.

Re: PG Hawks: Loss
I didn't watch the game, but the box score is something you don't see very often:
Hawks shot just 43% overall and 28% on threes. Bucks were about the same, but a little better on threes. Yet the Hawks won going away.
The Hawks got off 25 more shots and had 15 more rebounds.
