Bulls/Warriors

Bulls trade - Williams/Giddy
Warriors trade - Melton/GP2/Kuminga/ 2nd rounder

For Bulls all 3 players expire (29.5m) and get a minor asset in a 2nd rounder. We trade Giddy's restricted FA for Kuminga's
restricted FA but at this point I think Kuminga is worth a look and has more potential then Giddy. Would love to see a
Ayo/White/Kuminga/Buzlies/Smith uptempo lineup. At worse hes expiring at best you can resign him to a solid deal.
Melton is injured and expiring, GP2 is a solid backup defensive guard who would be worth resigning.

Warriors have been wanting another big 3 and D wing and Williams is the perfect fit and hes signed long term on a solid
deal for them. A lineup with Curry/Hield/Wiggins/Williams/Green is a great lineup. Giddy is a really good backup who can play
in different lineups and positions.

Apparently Giddey was the guy they were targeting at #7 assuming Kuminga would be off the board.

I'd do the OP deal

Easy pass.

Kuminga has to be resigned like Giddey. He can’t shoot. Like Giddey more than Kuminga.

As the Warriors I would pass, we need guards that can handle the ball and shoot, which Giddey/Williams aren't. It's really about need right now, and if we're moving one of our few trade chips in JK we have to address that. Maybe we can think about other trades once a Coby White or Schroder type has been acquired.

I know enough about how the Warriors play to know that moving Kuminga for Giddey makes 0 sense. Giddey can't shoot and he doesn't defend well. He doesn't fit on the floor at all with Draymond. Kuminga at least is an athletic threat even though his shooting isn't that great.

Nobody sees the Bulls having a fire sale. Karnasovas is pretty much trying to save his job. Chicago is in the midst of a coaching firing squad; soccer, WNBA, Blackhawks, Bears and White Sox. Billy Donovan just signed an extension so he's safe but Karnasovas isn't going to be allowed to make a deal like this to tank and get a new contract. The Bulls will find a new VP to rebuild.

Not really into this for GS. Giddey and Kunminga are both iffy. Williams is limited, oft-injured and overpaid so I'd rather not take him on.
