The Celtics usually alternate Porzingis and Horford on back to backs, but in this case they could easily play both. Joe Mazzulla's been unpredictable with his rotations, though they always end up making sense. Holiday's been a little bit hampered by a hip thing.

Last year when Middleton sat for 6 weeks after being injured (thanks Durant) he came back and played 25 minutes against the Suns (22/3/7) in a win and 33 minutes vs. the Celtics (22/6/6) in a loss. But at the beginning of the season he was limited to 20 minutes per game for awhile and that's probably his limit now as well.

That rings true. Giannis poses a particular problem and changing looks on him would be something they'd like to do. Boston plays the Grizzlies the following night but has four days off after that. Memphis is a little more easily matchable even though they're very good.

I wonder if Mids didn't want to have his minutes limited this time and that's why he waited so long to come back after being cleared.

That's what he claimed. I'd still expect a small ramp up at the start. How he looks I'm agnostic about. Could be rusty or pick up where he left off as a hooper, but then be very much game-to-game as to how his legs feel.

Yeah I remember how old he looked when he first came back but then looked like classic Mids quite a few games later.

Best contributions I hope for from Khris...

1. Give us good "not Bobby and not Pat" minutes
2. Please adapt to the new world and shoot 3 without much jumping so your don't land on feet.. if they are running you then pump fake and take your 2 ball (or swing it back to another shooter)
3. Just do less on offense and more on defense than last year

I don't think we lose a series until the ECF or even finals if Khris comes back shooting more 3s and sticks near someone on D. All we need is a big time shooter to hit big nuts open 3s and KM has shown that in his career -- we would have won last night if we had someone like that.
