2 guys that need the ball in their hands - one who is quite a bit less effective playing off ball (Fox) and one that is near useless playing off ball (Scoot).

Scoot currently is 6 man, that would mean you would still have Shaedon too
Somewhere trying not to offend Texas Chuck.

Toronto needs to be adding picks for this to be competitive.

Uhhhh? He is literally starting on a good team right now.

Jalen Green is the same mindless chucker he's always been, he does nothing well other than fool incautious people with some flashes here and there. Not worth his contract, and definitely one of the players with the highest hype to performance ratios in the league.

4th year player averaging 18.9 points on 39.3 FG% and 31.7 3P% in a good team with all around talent. Leave away the highlights and he's on the low end at his position, and that's even disregarding his salary.

‘21-‘22: (-1.00)
‘22-‘23: (-0.06)
‘23-‘24: (0.00)
‘24-‘25: (+0.35)

D-LEBRON

‘21-‘22: (-2.38)
‘22-‘23: (-2.31)
‘23-‘24: (-1.09)
‘24-‘25: (-0.09)

I won’t comment on his contract, but he isn’t the “same” mindless chucker as you suggest.

He has statistically gotten better both offensively and defensively every single year. He went from being one of the worst defensive SG in the league to now almost a neutral defender which doesn’t sound great out loud but shows he is getting better and trying on that end.

I agree he’s still a low-end starting guard in this league, but just wanted to point out that he has made strides (albeit, probably not enough to be a centerpiece of a Fox trade).

Using advanced stats as gospel is dangerous, those numbers better correlate with the evolution of the Rockets than that of Jalen Green individually. Watch what he does on the court, he's as inefficient as he's ever been, taking bad shots right and left and missing most of them (hence 'chucker' by definition). Only difference is now he's also a financial burden. Way to go!

The Orlando Magic are currently the betting favorites to land De’Aaron Fox in a potential trade via Bovado

Doesn’t really mean much and I’m sure it’s just a very obvious team to be very interested.

Fox's trade value might be lower than people think.
He's amazing at attacking the rim, but his mid-range-heavy scoring and inconsistent three-point shot don't fit every team. Defensively, he's not exactly a stopper, so you would need solid defenders around him to cover for that.

Then there is the contract situation. He reportedly turned down a big extension, so any team trading for him would probably need to commit a lot of money. He has never even won a playoff series, so there is no proven track record of him being a winning centerpiece.

I would mostly describe Fox as an average efficiency, high-volume scorer. This just does not win titles.

I cant see our FO going for it. We'd have to trade away AB and JI at minimum, our most promising prospect and our best defender. We add Fox and move Suggs back over to SG, and take away shots/possessions from Franz/Paolo. Leaves us with a weak bench.

Love Fox as a player, but just dont think the FO will see him as a fit for us.

All fair points, but don’t think Isaac would need to be involved (also shouldn’t be the reason you don’t do this trade).

I think more importantly Orlando values flexibility and I think the biggest hurdle for the FO would be to bring in another max player and enter the 2nd apron for a team I’m not sure is definitively a contender after this trade.
