Hopefully Denver can do us a solid favour at Cleveland.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10145621-how-every-team-should-approach-2024-25-nba-trade-season

Boston Celtics

Goal: Minor tax savings
Name(s) to watch: Jaden Springer
The Celtics have a massive payroll, as they opted to essentially bring back the roster that won in 2023-24. The team values continuity and may have to make some decisions over the offseason with luxury taxes in mind, but in the short term, they may look to clean up on the margins.
That could lead to a Springer trade, perhaps with second-round draft compensation to shed his $4 million expiring salary. Boston wouldn't want anyone back, instead looking to drop its projected tax bill from about $66 million to about $51 million. That would climb slightly with the Celtics needing a 14th player, possibly converting No. 54 pick Anton Watson from a two-way contract.

Anton Watson, as the Cs 54th pick, would be eligible to sign under the second round pick exemption with a salary starting at $1.1 million, $1.1 for the full 82 game season so his compensation would prorated down relative to games remaining whenever he signs.

Let the Cavs keep winning now.

Sooner or later they will start to burn out.

The ideal is the Cs catch them for the #1 seed after the All-Star break.

I'm sorry, the Cavs are REALLY good.

Nuggets need to catch up to modern NBA. Such a waste of immense singular talent in Jokic.

When you lose by 27 pts in ONE QUARTER from 3, it's REALLY hard to win.

CLE about to win 70 games and flame out in the 2nd round. I can see the future and it is grim for these Cavaliers.

Nuggets trying to make the game interesting. Their starters might need to play 40+ for this one. Guys like Watson, Nnaji, and Strawther give them nothing.

Brandon Miller is killing the Knicks.

He is a better prospect than Lamelo.

He has game !

Cleveland has been impressive early. Makes me wonder if they will close to 60 games this season. Denver is always a team that gives us trouble and they’re handling them pretty much easily.

Cavs are a great legit team. Nuggets have NO CHANCE against them and they are pretty good.

Cavs took 47 threes, made 22. More than half of their attempts from 3. 48-pt advantage from there. Why did no one tell them to stop shooting threes?

Well when you make them it counts doesn’t it? When the Celtics struggle from the outside they keep launching them.

The Cavs are annoying but I feel pretty great about them being our biggest threat in the east. I would argue only threat, really.

The 3 point shooting was the difference in the game. Not much defense by the nuggets.

They struggle in the 1st half, keep launching them, and most of the time, get the W. Fact of the matter is, it's worked. It has been working and will keep working until someone disproves math. Teams will be hardpressed to beat the Cs in a 7-game series with this formula -- get the advantage from 3, play D, and win the margins.

Based on potential, Bucks more dangerous than Knicks.

Knicks lost toughness after getting KAT.

And OG or Hart playing the 4 spot makes the Knicks a little small.
