Thibs is a top 3 NBA coach. I cant believe there are still people left that want him fired. Are you **** crazy???? He should be the coach for the next 10 years.

Only the 2nd greatest offense of all time? Wow Thibs is much worse than we thought, we need Johnnie Bryant to fix this

2nd is the 1st loser
GIVE ME FIRST

1st was last year's Celtics I believe, which also played at the 4th worst pace. But a slow place is only bad when we do it...

Is that Thibs fault too?

And what should be the limit for players? 30? 32? Should they sit out games too? What is the magic formula to prevent injuries? And lastly, I know there is a huge outcry when Thibs leaves players in during blowouts. How much should we be up and how much time is left before we should send in the bench? 20 points with 5 minutes left? 20 points with 10 minutes left?

Should Mikal have played 46 minutes tonight? General board consensus was that he shouldn’t have tonight. And thats the problem I have with him, his minutes distribution be a lil crazy bro.

I'll agree with that to a certain point. I don't get it either but Mikal and the players don't seem to mind or care. I would think if a player felt he was being used too much and felt tired, he'd ask out or talk to Thibs about reducing minutes. And I don't believe playing a certain amount of minutes increases injury. A guy can get hurt in the first quarter or if he averages 15 mpg. There is no science or magic way to avoid injuries. Playing every game and playing 37 mpg does not mean you're guaranteed to be injured at some point. Sure, there is a fatigue factor and being out there does increase your chances since you're playing and moving but every guy is built different and guys like Mikal and Hart can handle that workload. Personally, I wouldn't play guys when the game is out of reach like last night. Hornets were dead and weren't coming back. I would have sent in the bench with 5-7 minutes left instead of 2. But I honestly don't see Thibs playing Mikal 46 mpg in a game in November or playing the starters an extra 3-4 minutes when the game is decided as that big of a deal. Thibs has done a phenomenal job in many areas and has earned the benefit of doubt and trust.

Players will play through injury. Asking them if they mind is like asking a kid if they mind having more candy. Someone has to be the adult in the room. Playing time may not physically hurt some players but, not needing to be on the floor risking freak injuries is the bigger issue. Just because you got home safe driving drunk doesn't mean it was a good idea! You shouldn't have been on the road in the first place!

tl;dr? Thibs needs adult supervision and he's got a drinking problem.

They have docs and trainers who monitor these guys on a daily basis. This is not you or I playing through a bum ankle at the Y. It's impossible to fake an injury in the NBA nowadays. And I'm also sure there are those within the organization who likely ask Thibs about the minutes. I don't know man until I see it become a problem, it's just not something I care about too much.

It bothers some of us because every year we limp into the playoffs and never recover. I see that as a problem. He goes overboard and it isn't necessary. It may or may not be a problem but, there's a way to find out. There's some evidence to suggest we should at least try to calm down some. 82 games of playoff roster minutes seems excessive. No? We have 17 dudes on the roster.

Resurrecting this
Beating this dead horse
When will this guy adjust ?
When will he step up in the locker room and hold ppl accountable?
When are we going to have consistency?
How many games does it take for him to realize Mikal can’t guard the point of attack?
How many games does it take to stop playing drop coverage ?
How many games does it take to realize you give yourself the best chance to win when you can win in different ways?
How many games does it take to pair KAT with another big to help with rebounding?

We will never win this dood

Thibs is Buck Showalter. He's fine to get you winning in the regular season and he'll change the culture of your team, but not really going anywhere with him.

Fire Thibs.
