1. Boston (getting through them will be really tough)
2. OKC (they will likely be waiting on the other end and they're really tough as well)
3. DAL (they could sneak back into the finals again and they always play us tough)
I'm not too worried about any of the other teams to be honest. Even Cleveland, with their improvement this year, I think is more of a pretender when the lights get bright. I'm not buying yet.
We haven't even seen the highest level this team can reach yet. There is so much elite talent on this team and players that fit their roles perfectly. For example when precious came in last night we switched to an entirely switching defense and held the hornets to sixteen points in the quarter.
With multiple lineup options this team has the ability to be elite in any area that they strategically want to be elite in.
Yup but those 3 teams are uber talented as well. I guess it's going to come down to health, coaching, chemistry, experience, and execution as it always does. Let's hope we're on the right side of all those things come playoff time. I'd put CLE at #4 on that list above as biggest threats.

In the end I still believe our team has superior overall talent than either of those teams. We also have more overall elite defenders than either of them. But it certainly can be argued how close the overall talent is.

We are off to a better start than last year. We are also 11-3 in our last 14. Last January we were 12-2. So, we are better than last year all day every day and twice on Sunday! It's amazing to see what KAT/Mikal/Payne added to the team. Randle/DDV/MJ Burks fans in shambles!!!
We’re beating up on bad teams. In January we beat multiple contenders. Still not on last year’s team level yet but I’m still grateful for what Thibs has done since we gave him a roster that’s not ideal for him. Thank you Thibs! Thibs haters in shambles!!!
We destroyed Denver in Denver and we destroyed Orlando. We are dominating games just like we did last January. Better talent for Thibs to work with. Randle/DDV/MJ Burks Stans in shambles now!!!

Absolutely no one.
This is the type of behavior that would have the gods on Mount Olympus in turmoil.

thibs defenders out here using the space/time continuum to justify his recklessness
"Yes, his leg may have fallen off, but who is to say the 68 minutes straight of quadruple overtime are to blame? If the multi-verse theory is correct, there's a version of Mikal that played all 68 minutes and was perfectly fine. So in essence we can say Thibs was right to play him 68 minutes, because time is just an illusion, as the future and past are unchangeable and will play out as they were meant"

it seems to me that the only room for improvement is on D at this point.
why trade one of the best defensive bigs in the game before he's even had a chance to show what kind of impact he could have?

Denver is the only team (who we also beat last year with Sims at C!) Orlando didn’t have their best player.
So far we only beat one contender while in January we beat a bunch of them. Still have ways to go but I’m very proud of Thibs shutting up his haters! Thibs haters in complete shambles!

List of things that get Olympus in an uproar:
1) Zeus and Poseidon having a beef
2) Zeus f*cking a swan
3) Josh Hart 60-40-90 split

on this topic - one of my smarter friends explained determinism to me. sht ruined the next hour of my life until realizing if I continued to sit on it that sht it would send me into a deep depression, so I actively tried forgetting the whole conversation. she didn't set out to ruin my life by telling me it - it was to have more compassion for people. smarter and better than me. she stays ruining my days

You're lying about the level of teams we beat. Last year we beat MIN/PHI/DEN and the rest were bums. This year we blew out MIL/DEN/ORL and I'm throwing in PHI because you love them more than the Knicks this season. Knicks are a better team this year than that 14 game streak from last year. Historically the best starting five ever!

Might be some homerism talking here on your part... my legit concerns are still here: 1) Can Thibs coach well in the ECF and Finals? 2) Can NYK overcome Brunson and KAT being hunted on defense? 3) BOS has elite 3pt chucking and solid defense while OKC has elite defense and very solid offense. Both those teams have better defense than us right now and defense often wins out in those grind it out playoff games.
