Yup but those 3 teams are uber talented as well. I guess it's going to come down to health, coaching, chemistry, experience, and execution as it always does. Let's hope we're on the right side of all those things come playoff time. I'd put CLE at #4 on that list above as biggest threats.

In the end I still believe our team has superior overall talent than either of those teams. We also have more overall elite defenders than either of them. But it certainly can be argued how close the overall talent is.

Might be some homerism talking here on your part... my legit concerns are still here: 1) Can Thibs coach well in the ECF and Finals? 2) Can NYK overcome Brunson and KAT being hunted on defense? 3) BOS has elite 3pt chucking and solid defense while OKC has elite defense and very solid offense. Both those teams have better defense than us right now and defense often wins out in those grind it out playoff games.

In a close series, do you trust Tatum or Brunson or Shai? Brown or Towns or Holmgren? Jrue or OG or Williams? White or Hart or Caruso? We’re looking awfully good and I haven’t even mentioned Bridges…

That wasn’t even the wildest take.

If you look at the pattern almost every player we have brought in has had a slight to moderate uptick of performance in Thibs system.

KAT is yet another example of this. He was already star level offensively and now he is legit superstar level.

Randle is not as good as KAT and nowhere near as efficient. It was pretty clear that this would be an upgrade to many who were looking at this accounting for the variables objectively.

Yeah it's all in fun. I loved that January team and I was crushed when Shart left. The KAT trade had me nervous because I didn't wanna lose that all grit no quit bully ball mentality. In all honesty though, things seem to be working out for the better IMO. We just need to stay healthy and see where we are from there.

Looking at Thibs that way is intriguing and I’ll allow it, even though it is probably not yet true for Bridges, but I am certain it will be. I never realized that. Definitely true for his Bulls team once you take into account that none of the main guys then were good shooters.
