He has, two years ago while Wiggins was out Kuminga had a great stretch that helped the Warriors get the 6th seed. And then got the shaft.
He has been jerked in and out of the rotation and his numbers always improve when he gets regular minutes in a regular role.
I hope they trade him for his sake.
Ran a quick query on this claim. Broke it down in 5 and 10 min increments
He has much better numbers when the last game he played was in the 11-20 min range than 0-10 or 21+. However, 20+ is better than 0-10, but thats mostly because 0-10 happened predominantly in his rookie season, 21 of 30 games
When broken down into 5 min increments, he's historically played his best after 16-20 mpg games, then 11-15, then 21-25, then 26+
That's just one game though. So I extended it to the prior 5 games on average using the same overall tracking number. It is in exact parallel with the 1 game sample size: his most impactful play is in the 11-20 mpg range, or more zoomed in, the 16-20 mpg range.
Just enjoy these games when they happen, because they dont happen often
Heard a stat that he averages 18 points when he gets 25+ minutes per game this season and 19.7 points last season. And he averages 9 points and 11.3 respectively when he gets less than 25 minutes.
I know those a old school stats but they match the eye test.
Bottom line for me is he needs to play a larger roll here or somewhere else.
better somewhere else. for him and for the dubs.
