I think you are huffing some insane copium if you think RJ will be traded within the next calendar year.

The only way I can picture it is if a swingman like Tre Johnson or someone like that goes on a meteoric rise, becomes the best prospect in this draft, and Raptors win the draft lotto, even then I'm pretty certain it wouldn't happen right away.

Highly unlikely trade to occur.

Yeah in the next year is a bit much, but if we get bailey then I dont think it's unreasonable to think he'd be expendable.

Maybe Bailey as well. Though I am quite low on him in all honesty. I see the ceiling but don't think it's likely think you're more likely to get an inefficient volume scorer not unlike RJ honestly (Will get his points in a different way). To me that dude's upside more Brandon Ingram than KD or Tmac.

it crossed my mind you may as well pick up brandon ingram though he hasn't contributed to winning basketball

They simply don't have the pieces to put together a winning formula at the highest level.

Don't be too quick to judge. But this upcoming trade deadline will rival 2023 (Poeltl) deadline in importance on the team's future. Judge after it

That's incredibly unlikely. Wemby is generational compared to anyone in this draft, and we're almost certainly not trading away a near future pick that will end up in the lottery.

Yes, not trading away vets like Jak will cement the likelihood of mediocrity, but the damage that was done by not trading Fred and wasting valuable assets on Jak
to kill the asset window around Barnes will be too hard to replicate.

We went from having our best youth/asset footing maybe in team history with Siakam/Barnes/OG in Scottie's rookie year to trying to avoid being the Bobcats now. We're mostly trying to mitigate damage at this point.

Except that he's looking for like a 250mil contract, is chronically injured, and isn't 18 years old. If Bailey ends up as a BI level player, it's not the end of the world, but I wouldn't go out of my way to trade for one. I mean we just traded one away.

I’m not sure if this was the desired outcome as the Blazers are on the verge of surpassing the Raptors in the tank race.

Only 1 game back as they just got massacred by 42 points.

Looking at the Blazers schedule, they could easily add an another 6 games to their current losing streak.

I suppose when two tanking teams collide, you could either look at it as a win/win or a loss/loss situation depending if you want to take the glass half or half empty mindset approach.

Wizards are on pace for the worst plus minus in the history of the league. You have no chance to survive, make your time.

Argument could be made people overreact to beating teams that are struggling....Pacers/T-Wolves Etc....If we are not even able to compete against the really good teams in the league what are we doing here? Beating up on the really bad teams or teams just struggling atm who will prolly be better than us come playoff time? ....Its really a lose/lose situation cause we are beating up on the bottom feeders but getting demolished by the actual good teams in the league....Nothing to celebrate about that.

Taking the Celtics to a final buzzer without our two best players is not something a bad team does

Neither is the wolves or nuggets who are still decent teams in a tough conference

No one is saying we’re contenders. But we are a play-in team if healthy. That’s literally just saying that we’re a top 10 and probably top-21 team in the league. Not an overreaction.

You can't look at an individual game and base our talent off that one game....Yeah we took the Celtics to the Buzzer does that mean we would even come close vs them in a playoff series?....We prolly get close to swept....You can catch any team with an off night in the reg season....But come playoff time you get exposed...

Being a play in team again....Is nothing to cheer about...We should be striving for greater....We would not beat too many teams in a 7 game playoff series imo...Maybe we can win the play in game but than your getting swept to which ever team you play...To me thats not success...Beating the low hanging fruit does not excite me...

When we get to the point where i feel confident we could go into a 7 game playoff series vs teams like the Celtics/Thunder/Cavs/Knick Etc and actually beat them in a 7 game series is when i will be excited ....Right now we are not there...Need more assets and talent.

Stuff like this is so meaningless it's not even worth mentioning. The spurs beat the suns twice in a back to back last year, the suns finished with 49 wins, the spurs with 22. Teams are measured on wins, not moral victories.

Teams are measured on talent.

Anyone can watch us and see that we have the talent to be a play-in team. It's really not that hard to see.

We've won more individual quarters that we've lost. And we've lost a bunch to injuries. Unless there's more injuries or a Yak trade, this isn't a team bad enough to lose enough games to tank. Hell I'm not even sure a Voldemort Stealth Tank could even work if we did trade Yak, but Masai probably won't. Ya'll wasting ur time.
