Absolutely not.

Haaaaave you met the Bulls front office?

There has never been any opportunity to "sell high" on Vooch.

IMO, his value has probably been under water since the Bulls traded for him (minimally since his extension)...potentially until right now, where I expect it's positive.

Which non-tanking teams actually need a starting C?
GS
maybe ORL
If you say their current C can shift to PF and play next to Vuc:
Mia
LAL
MEM
maybe IND

Is that it?

Trade him to the Lakers for Russell, Lewis and a couple second round picks before this guy comes crashing back down to earth.

I predict we get a late 1st rounder or a protected first rounder at the trade deadline .

Just for the fun of it and Money to work without waiving a player!

GSW In: Vucevic, Carter, Craig

Out: Cash, 251st, 29SRP, Looney, GP2, Melton

Bulls buyout Melton so GSW can resign him next year. Hence the cash and extra 2nd. Get expiring money or flip.

Dreams are free! lol

Teams that miss out of John Collins trade will most likely want Vuc.

Also I can see scenario where a 3 way where Utah takes the assets and we take on Collins contract.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

If we take AK at his word, taking Collins would be somewhat logically consistent. There is a definitely a "deny and extend" vibe from AK. Rolling it back with Ball, Ayo, Matas, Collins, Smith isn't a bad foundation (IF you think Ball can stay healthy) maybe trading Zach, Coby, and Pat yields a guy who be a true #1 option and supplant Ball or Ayo. It's not tanking, but it's a plan.

I was hopeful that Vuc's strong start would mean we could move him, potentially even as early as December 15th when players signed this summer become eligible to be traded.

Most recent reports however state there's still not much of a trade market for him.

I now fear he'll be here till the trade deadline and will be someone other teams settle for.

I think it's a mistake, waiting an additional 2 months for those teams.

I'm also not sure it's the best things for the Bulls as it allows for a variety of outcomes including:

1. Vuc cools off from his hot starts and it hurts whatever trade value he does have
2. He continues playing like an All-star and contributing to winning games for the Bulls

I just see more potential for bad than good the longer we hold onto him. Sure you can day dream that if he keeps playing well through February their somehow becomes a bidding war for him and we get an actual decent asset.

Dec 15 Vuc should be shipped for the best offer.

We don’t him to get hurt and then kill or delay his trade.

We don’t want him helping us win and ruining our pick.

What reports? The most recent one in the trade thread are that there are multiple interested teams.

Looks like I must have misread a tweet or whatever it is I saw cause I just googled it and yeah latest report seems to have the Warriors, Lakers, Pelicans, and Pistons all rumored as interested.

In an ideal world, they trade him Sunday, just tell those teams to make their best offer now.

Ideas for LAL, NOP, GSW, DET

GSW: Vuc for Trayce Jackson-Davis or a FRP+ Expirings

LAL: Vuc for Vanderbilt + Hayes or a FRP+ Expirings

NOP: Vuc for Jones + Expirings

DET: Vuc for any of Stewart, Thompson, Ivey, or Holland, or a FRP+ Expirings

I prefer Vuc goes to a team that prevents them from tanking ala Pels. Pistons etc.

I get that, no doubt, but getting a useful asset in return is key to me. If somehow he fetches a FRP or a guy like Jones or Vandy, I'd be thrilled.

Interesting ideas. As the 4 teams recently mentioned I see his value as a little lower.

GSW: Vuc, Craig, and Carter (or THT) for Melton, Looney, and Kuminga - tracks with AK/ME prioritizing young players over picks. Kuminga was rumored to be what we wanted from Golden State for Caruso. Golden State is apprehensive on the price of re-signing Kuminga.

Lakers: Vuc, Craig, and Coby for Russell, Vincent, Hood Schifino, Hayes and 2029 and 2031 1sts - we give the Lakers/LeBron everything they could want for a run this year (and next since Coby and Vuc are under contract another year) and in exchange we're gifted 2 future firsts. No protections on those bad boys either.

Pelicans: I think they've been so bad they might just not actually be trying to trade for Vuc. 5-21 is a heck of a hole to try and climb out of.

Pistons: Vuc and Duarte for Hardway Jr, Paul Reed, some sort of pick package. Big expiring in Hardway. Reed gives us another young center (again we seem to like getting young players). Not sure what the pick comp would be here.

Our top 10 pick in this draft is much more valuable than anything we will get for Vuc.

Well according to Windy yesterday and ESPN still 0 market for Vuc and Zach, just like I said would happen 6 months and 12 months ago....the league KNOWS what they are and what they're worth, a HOT start doesn't change that "value".

I think at the deadline we'll settle for a bad Vuc deal and keep Zach yet again as AKME will continue to think we can get more for him.
