Bears Eat Our Faces! Loss vs MEM 12/7
What the hell you guys we did not win the big game!
I mean credit the Grizzlies. They were fast and physical and relentless, flying around playing out of their minds, while the Celts were on their 5th game in 7 days and couldn't put the ball in the basket. Defense kept us attached and we gave a good fight and actually took a lead in the 4th, but in the end it wasn't our night. JT clearly stayed up all night partying with Deuce lol.
Very light schedule over the next 1-2 weeks. NBA Cup and all that. Have a nice week good pals.
Pistons Thursday, Go C's!

Another terrible shooting night. I feel like something is missing with this team this season. I said last year they were more balance inside and outside. This year it’s the 3 ball at all cost.

It was a fun game. It was 5th game in 7, what can you say? I thought we shot too many threes and tired legs called from some Peterson, Walsh and Scheierman … but fun game still.
At least KP bounced back from that injury scare.

Teams need us ice cold and tired as hell to even play us close. I just want us to stay healthy at this point.

Just need to forget about this game and move on.
5 games in 7 nights is tough enough, but that emotional win against the Bucks yesterday just sapped the energy out of the Celtic starters.

Last year I would have ripped certain things about this team and coaching. I am past that for the most part.. But only IF we win #19.. whatever.. I have already moved on..
On to the Next..

Zombie Smart should have been yanked after the first quarter for PP
Tatum/Brown outplayed strongly by JJJ/Morant.
Another mediocre performance by White - he needs some time off.

Celts still have not lost in double digits and every game is close.
That's says a lot about how tough it is to beat this Celtics team.

Tough stretch. Disappointed but not surprised. Already over it.

Grizzlies are a good team, it was a B2B and both games went to the wire. B2Bs should be eliminated from the NBA calendar. 82 games is too many, unnecessary.

Our guard depth needs help. You can’t play 82 games with Jrue, White, PP and then no other guard. We need another guard. People want Lonnie Walker or could be play JD some of his eligibility or something … really needed another guard option tonight, IMO. Guys looked exhausted out there

Team played two back to back mediocre games and still managed to steal one.
We should be well rested after hibernating until Thursday, start the next win streak then.

I have been thoroughly unimpressed with our defense this season. Just not even close to championship caliber. I guess we're just content with chucking away and hoping to win shootouts.

Cs have 3 days off.
Hopefully it helps them in the recovery department.

True.. But we wouldn't be as "tired" If Joe would expand his rotation and develop other players. Case in point.. Hauser goes down.. We struggle making shots and Joe starts the 4th with Kornet and Queta.. Even with Al available, what If this happens again in the playoffs?? More double Big lineups??

You like that stat line 18/60 from 3. That’s almost like a whole game fg percentage.

It’s just you bud. The team knows they can rely on their 3 point shooting in the regular season. It’s a smart way to minimise injuries & be fresh for the playoffs.
Don’t look too deep into it.

I feel the same way about our D. Something is just off with this despite the record. I mean you would take 19-5 but they have had a lot of ugly wins as well coming back.

White is playing hurt. It's obvious since the foot injury. He should probably take some time off, I agree.

I think it's just Joe experimenting and gathering data.
The double big lineup is to compensate for the switching defense.
By having 2 bigs, it lessens the chance of a guard like White or PP ending up defending the opposing big man.
The trade-off is the big will be forced to defend the perimeter.
I'm not worried about the playoffs because there will be no B2B games and unless Al or KP or both are hurt, they'll always be available to play.
