Is there a deal where the Bucks trade Kris Middleton for Jerami Grant? Grant and Dame are allegedly close. Grant has always been better as a 2nd or 3rd scoring option.

Grant was better when he was a 4th option and played defense. I don't think Grant is an upgrade at all.

Well, Jerami is 3 years younger, he's not coming off two ankle surgeries, and he's a good team defender and weak side perimeter shooter.

As a Blazers fan, admittedly, I don't watch a lot of Bucks games, but I'm pretty familiar with Dame. Jerami would help the Bucks.

KM is not getting traded. He's the difference between the Bucks being real contenders and just one of the rest.

And why would Portland, who is not a contender even with Middleton, want a guy like Middleton? None of this makes sense.

Are you saying a poster should post a post about who is a better post defender than Brook?

Sending out Middleton and just getting Grant back seems terrible. Grant hasn't played over 55 games since 2019/20 so there is no healthier player benefit. And I'd much rather have the higher ceiling with Khris.

I'm curious if Jerami Grant would be a fit for the Bucks. If there was any legit trade options here, it would have to be a three way trade sending KM to a third team and HOPEFULLY expiring contracts and pick(s) to the Blazers.

Sorry, I think most here view Grant as a regressing player. He's signed for 3 more years after this year. I'd bet his teammate Dalano Banton is double the VORP over that time period than Grant. How much for Banton? Their career arcs are very similar

They don't. Google news is constantly pushing me these wild trade ideas. I think this is part of SI's new content strategy for whatever reason.

Not of ton of people here will be open to trading KM right now. If we continue to lose to good teams maybe in a month. Right now he's probably more valuable to us than any other team.

If we trade Middleton, we are a bad Dame night away from almost not having a chance at all against teams like Boston and Cleveland. We need POA and wing defense but in addition to our core, not in replacement of it.

Second, but just as important, we need some more BBIQ. The night and day thing that Doc is talking about has a lot do with guys like Horford, White and Holiday. Quite honestly, it's kind of a marvel of team building how they got rid of all the unnecessary riff raff and pruned it all down to guys who can all shoot, defend and have other skill sets to boot. I'll always go back to the 2015 Denver Broncos defense as the model for how things can all just magically come together to form a nearly perfect unit. Porzingis is their version of DeMarcus Ware and they have two Von Millers.

Anyway... we need our version of Derrick White (we aren't getting a Jrue). We have two many guys who just dont have the complete package. We add one complete, two way player, and this team will have a great shot.

I agree about your analysis of Boston, but there's more than one way to win a championship.

With a healthy KM, I would pick the Bucks over Boston right now. Just as I picked them last year if they would have been healthy.

If used correctly, Giannis tips the scale.

Does the Milwaukee Bucks tax apron situation stop them from buying a first-round pick or two? If not why can't they just buy a pick or two and throw them in a trade? Just asking

You can't just buy a 1st they're way too valuable. Teams don't even really sell 2nds anymore. But also 2nd apron teams can't send out cash in trades

There's a limit on "cash consideration" trades, around $7 million. I remember the Sixers paying $2 million for a second rounder in 2021. I don't recall anyone buying a first rounder. Maybe it's happened for a late first rounder.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Count me in on a Grant trade.

The second one is poo.

“ While the idea of a “big 3” around Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and CJ McCollum is enticing and something that most Bucks fans would definitely love to see..”

I’m as far from a Middleton guy as you will find and even I think the idea of swapping him for Middleton is vomit. Maybe if they send our picks back I start to listen.

The Suns and Robert Sarver traded their 1st for cash in 2004. Hasn't happened since. Teams in the 2nd apron cannot trade cash.

There are people who still want Jerami Grant? He's a slightly different flavoured Tobias Harris.

Maybe the Rockets want to contend now ...

Khris for Reed Sheppard, Jabari Smith Jr , Jeff Green and 2025 1st OKC or PHX.

We save 3.7M , we get a 6'11 mobile Big and we get a backup PG who is an elite 3p shooter. Jeff Green is a wild card, I always liked him, don't know why we haven't got him here earlier.

Getting that 2025 1st opens a window for future trades, or I can draft another athletic big

It's pretty obvious most Bucks fans are very committed to Middleton. I get it. I also think Jerami Grant is woefully under valued by fans. He's definitely not a super star to carry a franchise, and he has off nights, but he's very solid.

Also, regarding his missed games in the past two years, a part of that is the soft tank the Blazers have been doing at the end of the season when the primary thing to play for is ping pong balls.
