Lavine To Denver

Post#1 » by Hatrick Ewing » Sat Dec 7, 2024 11:27 pm

Jamal Murray
Zeke Nnaji

for

Zack Lavine
Coby White
Top 6 Protected First

Murray has been playing bad and the Nuggets get 2 guys who could be really helpful for them. They get off Nnaji. For the Bulls Murray could be interesting and they dont want Lavine./

If you think these players could be interesting to either team, do there maybe need to be draft picks going one way? Don't think any of these guys are untouchable.

hard time seeing Chicago entertaining this.

the more Murray struggles, the more it looks like he and LaVine might have similar values. I'm not there yet, but it might be trending that way

The Bulls can't trade any picks, they've dealt 3 in the past 6 years and have nothing in the way of playoff games to show for it. They need to draft.

Besides that, they are trying to get out from under Lavine's contract. Does it make any sense for the Bulls to give up 2 starters in order to take on a bigger longer contract of a guy YOU say is playing badly now? You shoot your own idea in the foot

No, from Denver. Murray's value is at it lowest. With him at his best as 2nd option, Nuggets win championship. With him playing the way he is playing rn they are screwed. With Lavine in Murray's place as 2nd option they still can't win championship, so what is the point.

Murray's contract is even worse than Lavine's already bad one. Let alone White and picks, Bulls pass.

I think Lavine is playing better than Murray, plus he's cheaper and healthier. No thanks

Murray for LaVine has some legs. White is the deal breaker imo.

I wouldn't move Lavine for Murray let alone add. Murray's contract is two years longer and he isn't as good right now.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Legs for who? Murray has been trash playing with Jokic, LaVine has been very good playing alongside Vucevic.

They can keep Murray also laughable to throw in a 1st and Coby.

Finally, a trade that a team says yes to taking LaVine. Unfortunately, Bulls should pass, even with the additional stipulations that would need added to the pick to make it legal.
