Didnt really look pretty, but Trent’s work inside the arc definitely kept us afloat before Bobby and Khris took over at the end.

Dame was not good but other than that awful pass at the end, i didnt have a problem with his looks and he was a solid distributor for the most part, 11 assists backs that up.

Giannis also showed how much defense matters being able to come through with the block

He’s really good. I was going to post the same thing.

Yup, Dave Koehn is both fun and soothing.

his defense has been outstanding.

Yup, he's slow as hell, and smart enough to make it not matter at all. Consistently phenomenal anticipation.

pj tucker was slow as hell too. i think defensively speed is overrated unless its in transition or recovery. hes just big and plays fundamentally. anticipation i think in his case is just the guy knows where to be to begin with.

when hes healthy and the efforts there hes as effective as he ever was. thats pretty huge to see again for me anyway. if he can defend at a high level then you know his body feels good and if his body feels good then offense is going to be there automaticallly too. dang im glad hes back

Of course Novak is going to say that but Jokic is fairly clearly the best player in the world.

Maybe a healthy Khris can focus significantly more energy on D due to Dame’s gravity offensively (when Giannis isn’t hurt at least).

Would love to believe Bobby being passable defensively is possible but until it happens for a prolonged period I’m gonna try not to get my hopes up.

A wing player who can do a bit of everything is super valuable and we just don't have that when he's out. Plus having a 3rd ballhandler on the court who Dame and Giannis can both trust makes their lives so much easier.

Bobby and Khris draining every shot down the stretch felt like the good ole days, Dame even gave us some DJ Augustin flashbacks.

It’s not fairly clearly Jokic is the best it’s very close between them. They both have their strengths both teams around same record. Giannis free throws only thing that is holding him back from being clearly better than jokic. Even with him 20% worse than Jokic their EFg% is the same. Giannis defense when he is locked in is something jokic can never do or really no one else either. But media and most people only cares about offense.

ESPN needs to give Lisa some kind of gig so Koenig can move over or else he's going to get poached. Assuming he would want to do TV full time and I don't know why he wouldn't
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Bronson Koenig and Steve Novak on the call man Herb Kohl might bust out of his grave to hear that.

If we count just offense maybe.
Because my god, is he a cone on defense.

And every time someone brings up he's better now, you just need to watch a match to remember how bad he really is. My god, the Hawks have been abysmal tonight but every time someone is attacking Jokic on the basket, it's almost always a basket.

Also, the Hawks are 10% from 3 so far, lol.

That was brutal. Had to listen to the Nets feed and it was an abomination. It made the game infinitely less enjoyable to watch.

Hiding Bobby and Dame defensively in a zone is gaining legs the last few games.

The 7 Dame turnovers were a lot to overcome, as they're all live ball turnovers that lead to breakouts.

There are only a few broadcasts around the league that I enjoy. The quality has really dropped off recently.

I mean it’d be pretty sweet if we figured something out vs this defensive effort being isolated.

Should have clarified, the 2nd half for Dame, but yeah, I agree.

You know Koehn is good if he can make Novak bearable.

Lisa is horrible and she drags her partner down, too.

IMO Marques could easily be a top CC on TNT or ABC. But next to Lisa, she makes Marques kind of meh.

Koehn and Marques would be one of the top duos in the league among both local and national telecasts.
