Poor ball protection and we let them right back in it.
Inconsistent effort and focus.
We have more talent on the court which is what's keeping us ahead but we are being out hustled.

Jacob: "It's ironic it was done against the Pelicans... And now a word from *some law firm*"
Awkward transition lol
* He said the law firm name I just forgot it.

Lost the 3rd Q and now not closing it out well in the 4th. All of our good work getting flushed with our weird lack of focus and execution.
13-0 run against with 1 min left ffs

4TH Q: SPURS 121 PELICANS 116
PHEW!
We snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Sometimes you win ugly and this was one of those times.
We lost rhythm and momentum with the following guys going off court: Wemby, Collins, Castle, Keldon.
Luckily Area 51 returned:
Frankly if it weren't for Wemby we would likely not have won this game. We got out worked, we got loose on our focus and execution, and we nearly gave the game away late. Wemby scored our final seven points and got a couple of key boards. He earned the MPV chants as he sealed the game with clutch FTs - those were his lone four attempts in the entire game! - after hitting a clutch 3. 25 and 10. Three blocks. I love him!
Castle came to play, got hacked a LOT, yet kept driving and hustling to open spots and taking his shots. Hustled on D all over the place. Terrific all around two way performance.
CBass was wonderful after Collins got injured. Blocked shots, grabbed boards, got to the FT line, made his shots. 16 and 11 is an excellent, efficient contribution.
Just wish we could have seen some Mamu minutes.
It was a record setting night for CP3 who is now second in all time assists. Fittingly it was on a Wemby 3, as was our late taking the lead back, a fine bookend to the game. Six points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists.
Fifty-five boards (16 on O), seven steals, 11 blocks, got to the FT line very well (25-31), won PITP 60-46 all of which offset giving up 20 points off 13TOs and losing fast break points 20-17 as well as struggling to hit 3s.
On the one hand, we've lost our cohesion and just looking like we know what to do in a given situation; on the other, we figured out how to put up points when the 3 wasn't super efficient, when we had a plethora of players leave the game. We ended up using eight players with four DNPs. I don't get it, especially Blake and Mamu, each of whom we once again could have used tonight.
It was a blue collar grind but we have to take grasp of what we can control - hustle, effort, and D out. These waned and we almost paid the price for it. Consistency in trying hard all the time is always entirely up to each player.
