Shoutout to the W's metrics team though, who are either busy investing in Hawk Tuah girls crypto or currently putting the lotion on their skin before they get the hose again
I generally agree with you that Hield needs to have more time playing with Steph. This game though was not exactly supportive of the idea. -8 in 4 minutes with Steph. Waters did better in his minutes with Steph than Hield did.
The general concept that two shooters should be on the floor at all times (so 2 of Curry, Hield, and Waters) to take advantage of shooting synergies doesn't seem to be one that has registered with the coaching staff for some reason. On the other hand how they came up with the lineups of Podz/GPII, Spencer, Waters, Draymond/Looney, and TJD to put on the floor completely escapes me. Who was supposed to score? There was 3 minutes and 30 seconds of that that went -6. Only reason I can come up with is to make Spencer, Waters, and TJD look bad.
According to Fantasy Labs only Melton (+38.2) has a better net rating with Curry than Hield (+23.3). Green, Payton, and Anderson are the next best.
Moody, Waters and Kuminga have the worst.

Anderson/Green/Wiggins/Hield/Curry might be our best lineup and they've only played 7 minutes together. Kerr needs to stop trying to find magic with his lineups and just play the best players. You can only make bad players so useful.
Fun site. Thanks for linking to it.
Playing around with the site gave me a suggestion for a superior Curry lineup of Steph, Hield, Anderson, Draymond, Looney.
A superior bench lineup suggested had Hield, Podz, Kuminga, Draymond, Looney.
It's strange but there seems to be a bifurcation among the players. There are the players who play well with Curry and the players who aren't that affected that much playing with him. The silver lining is that the players who aren't great with Curry have some interesting lineups among themselves without him that could make for great bench lineups.
