I like Risacher but man what a huge indictment of this draft class that he has the most 10pt games so far and it's only 14.

What an awful class

I believe Wells has 14 as well.

I’ll bite, how you figure champ lol

Edey is a terrible defender in space, totally useless outside of 3ft. Big and slow and has poor hip mobility. He's not a guy who you're ever going to be able to play starters minutes because he's a net negative on the court.

Offensively he's limited to the paint, and he just clogs up the driving lanes.

Have you watched a full Grizzlies Game watching him play and if so which one?

I've watched every single minute that Zach Edey has been on the floor. Would you like me to pull the clips? There's a great 5 minute sequence against the Lakers where he loses the Grizzlies the game with several terrible defensive possessions in a row.

Talk about a cherry picked stat. The Hawks have played 23 games. Jared McCain just played his 20th and already has 14 games with 10+ points. Now let's bump it up to 15 pts a game and Risacher drops down to 6 games. McCain drops down to 13 games.

::EDIT: Of the 6 games McCain hasn't scored 10+ points he played under 4 minutes in 3 of them.

Lol well I have either attended or watched every Grizz game not just the Edey minutes.

Though he gave up back to back threes against AD he was not the reason we loss to the Lakers. A game in which neither Ja, Des or Smart played. He did in fact get AD in foul trouble and cause a high level star NBA player in AD to adjust his game and focus on the perimeter.

Considerably. He wouldn't be the first rookie who went on a heater for 8 games. I remember when Brandon Jennings was the next big things because of his first 10 games in the league. Averaged 25.2 points, 5.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds on .482/.519/.745 shooting in his first 10. Jordan Poole had an insane stretch either his rookie year or 2nd year too. Players go on heaters.

McCain is a better player I think. Jennings had all the talent, but was a very inefficiënt player and a bad defender. McCain has already shown he can be better in those parts, which off course makes him a much more valuable player in the future.

Jennings finished his rookie year with a 37% fg (also for 3's) so that means his 70 other games were very bad on efficiëncy.

McCain is, after 20 games, on 47% fg.

It's a shame that Reed Sheppard is on the Rockets. I'd be interested in seeing how he'd do if he got more playing time.

But Udoka systems and defensive focus with FVV, Dillon, Amen, Eason as terrific perimeter disruptors i think will benefit him. Also situation with Jalen Green could explode every moment and HOU practicallly have not any injuries so expect more minutes for Sheppard from new year. I adore his game

Would be shocked if he didnt have a 10+ year career. Solid as hell. Going to be a really nice backup combo guard.

Officially writing off McCain to win Rookie of the Year.

Now Nick Nurse has Boy George and a few other players back, he did what I feared what I would do and relegated Jarred McCain to the bench with limited minutes. He did this with the other young players/talent at Toronto too

Did people really think McCain was gonna keep putting up 20 shots a game when the Sixers big 3 was back? Lol

Castle with another nice evening, 22/4/5 on 8/15 in 34 minutes. CP3 has been an excellent mentor for him

Yeah pumping the brakes on good starts is always good but this is not a great point. McCain won't be scoring like 25ppg in his career but what he's doing seems very sustainable, no reason to compare him to Jennings. McCain's always been a 3pt sniper and plays a smart, controlled half court game too.

Also Sixers had one good week and are already comfortably out of basement. And we got to see more of what McCain's role would be on a more complete Sixers team (6th man who sometimes plays big minutes, averages a pretty efficient 12-14ppg or so). I'd expect something like that.
