Suns (Any realistic trades for KD or Beal)
Suns are in a bad spot with salary cap! Can anyone come up with a trade scenario for KD or Beal that would even make sense?
Youth, Grit, depth, Draft Picks, etc would be ideal.
Have some fun

Pairing them might make sense.
Why would anyone in their right mind take on Beal's contract unless they were getting KD too?

But PHX cant aggregate, so not legal

They don’t have to aggregate them even if they’re traded to the same team.

Is there even a team that can and would take both those guys?

It doesn't matter. No one is gonna take both as no team has that amount of cap and a player to send over to make up for it. Suns should move Booker in my opinion as he'll garner the biggest return.

The Suns should try to move Booker and Beal, and try to have enough youth firepower around 2 years of KD to contend and then after that they might have a quick rebuild if they get many picks and a few young guns in those deals.

Would pairing Beal with Booker be the path to ridding themselves of Beal's contract?

That is the only way that can occur.

If you want pure cap space, sure. That’s impossible right now. Also, Midseason trades of large salaries are difficult too.
But those weren’t the comments that I responded to. Dealing KD and Beal together doesn’t necessarily mean aggregating them. It can legally happen, even if it’s not very realistic.

Don’t know. Maybe. But even if Phoenix deals them to the same team, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re aggregating them.

if they were trading a star to rebuild then just eat beal's contract instead of paying to remove it. Thats what Brooklyn did with Simmons

Re: Suns (Any realistic trades for KD or Beal)
KD to the Rockets intrigues me. Adams/Brooks/Jeff Green gets you most of the way there $ wise and then some second tier prospects and picks to close the gap. Plus they have all of PHX's picks, which makes for a convenient way to close the loop on the KD/Booker/Beal era.
I'm not really sure what KD's value is right now vis a vis his injury situation, but putting a true #1 scorer on a team with a defense like Houston's could boost them to title contention.

Beal is probably the most toxic contract in the league, so huge negative.
Durant is still good, but he has declined quite a bit, and is missing a ton of games. His trade value is not very high.

If I am PHX I would ideally try to trade Durant with Beal to trick a team into taking BEAL. This could work if a team just needs Durant to win a title. Think Lakers? They would win if they had Durant with Lebron and AD for 2 seasons. Then they all retire together.

KD and Beal are ~$100M in salary combined, there's no way for the Lakers to acquire both and keep LeBron and AD.

Re: Suns (Any realistic trades for KD or Beal)
Beal has TWO full years left after this season making $50m+. He's averaging 18/4/3 and shooting 36% from the 3. And he's injured all the time. I think the Suns would have to trade a '30 swap and/or a '31 pick just to get off his contract for an expiring.
Cannot believe the Wizards got 6 2nds and swaps in 28/30 for him. Incredible job by that front office.

Good catch. I think they have enough of PHX's picks to make an interesting offer for KD regardless.
Let's say they swap Brooks/Adams/Jeff Green/Reed/Whitmore/picks for KD/Okogie/Plumlee:
Sengun/Landale/Plumlee
Eason/Jabari
KD/Tate/Okogie
Jalen Green/Amen
FVV/Holiday
(I'll admit I don't know the Rockets' rotation very well so this is just guesswork)
Surrounding KD with a legit second option in Sengun, a smart veteran PG in FVV, and a bunch of long aggressive wing defenders seems like it could be reeeeeeeeally good. And maybe KD can help jump start Jalen's development/refinement as a side benefit.
