The most skilled big since Sengun. Not sure he'll hold up on defense but the offense is worth a lottery pick IMO.
I like him...think he's around 6'10. The other big who has really amazed me with his all around offensive skill is Danny Wolf on Mich. His quickness, handle and passing are very unusual for a 7 footer.

Seems like a pretty big project, but he looks like he'd be a monster if he pans out.
At worst Khaman Maluach will anchor your team's defense for the next 15 years. I'll gladly take him if he's available and the Bulls get the tenth pick. Sure, he's young and raw, but give him time to develop and enjoy the reward.
He definitely looks like about 2-3 years away. He currently looks like a basic long lanky big in the college basketball. He doesn't play like a guy 7'2 right now.
JT Thor would be his best comp right now. Needs alot of work. But is young and mobile enough to eventually get there in about 2-3 years.

It's a tough call for me. Khaman Maluach played in nine games and haven't had a game with eight field goals attempts yet. I don't like him on this Duke team. I had my doubts about Isiah Evans choosing Duke, and at the end of the day the same could be said for Maluach. Prospects who chose teams where they can cook are doing much better than prospects like Evans or Derrion Reid.

I saw, what I think, is a very good comparison for Cooper Flagg (game wise).
Pascal Siakam.
Pascal Siakam.
Here to argue about nonsensical things and suck away your joy.

That offensive game is legit. He could be a first option, hub, ala Jokic. That skill is off the charts.
The issue is what you do on D. He can move his feet in the PNR but he offers no rim protection. Vuc can’t move his feet or protect the rim.
You would have to have two stud defenders next to Queen. One at PF and probably another at backup C to play next to him. Don’t think I’d play him at PF much. Not enough spacing which is what makes him more deadly.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Prospects
Wow. KJ with another big game. He was turning down shots earlier and now he’s aggressive and taking step back 3s etc. His shot looks exceptional. He’s a maestro in the PNR.
Think he fights with Demin for the 4th pick. He’s top 10 lock. His D is surprisingly good. Strong. Moved his feet. Fights through picks and gets skinny on screens. He’s a triple double threat every night and he is crafty and athletic enough to create his own shot off PNR and the bounce.

He’s got a better body and athleticism than Luka too. Leaner. Quicker. Stronger at the same age. Luka was way better on offense but KJ is a good defender.
Think he’s 4 right now. Will be fun to watch if he can continue to climb once the hype rises. Maybe he can ride the momentum past Ace and Harper and challenge for the top spot.

Regardless, he is just proof of how damn good this draft is. I’m not even looking that close yet and I already see 5 guys who would have gone #1 last year.

What do you guys think of Georgetown freshman center Thomas Sorber. I don't see him mocked in the first round.

I'll be watching Sorber(Georgetown) vs. Freeman (Syracuse) this Saturday. Syracuse no longer playing in the Big East is going kinda make my head hurt, but I'm definitely watching.

22% usage
67% TS%
1.6:1 Assist to Turnover ratio (needs to clean that up)
44% 3P%
88% FT% on 5 attempts per game
I don't think anyone is playing better than Kasparas Jakucionis right now.

Looking forward to seeing KJ versus Harper/Rutgers and also ILL plays Duke this year too. Flagg is more talented, but man, KJ is just a basketball savant with that hunger you don't see in many players. The dude shows up for big games.

Me too. KJ is a baller. He plays the right way. His coach said he has the best work ethic of any player he has ever coached and he watches 2hrs of film per day.
He plays big in big game and big in big moments. He plays like he lives for those moments.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Prospects
Even being relatively healthy and with excellent contributions from Vuc & Zach, we’re still a reasonably bad team. We have the 9th worst record and I’m confident that the Pistons, Sixers and likely the Hornets will overtake us on the standings.
Utah & Washington are clearly worse. Pelicans & the Raptors will embrace the tank completely soon but we might be able to fall below them. The Blazers suck as well.
We have a good shot at having top 5 lottery odds and given there are a lot of potential difference makes, then we need to embrace that. The worst thing we can do is hover where we are, go 32-50 and end up with the 7th best player in the draft again.
