The Timberwolves went ahead 106-105 with 4:47 left, and proceeded to go scoreless the rest of the game. Edwards missed a 3Pt fadeaway shot at 4:07 left, Edwards missed an 11' turnaround fadeaway with 3:54 left, Edwards missed a 9' floater with 3:22 left, Gobert got fouled on an offensive rebound and missed two free throws with 3:20 left. The Wolves got another offensive rebound, but had a shot clock violation with 3:06 left. Edwards missed a 27' three attempt at 2:40. Edwards missed a 25' three at 2:10. NAW missed a 6' driving layup at 1:39. Payton stole the ball on an Edwards pass at 1:01. Edwards missed a 4' floating bank shot at :48. Randle missed a 7' layup and got a 6' putback blocked.

Zero for Nine from the field. Zero for two from the line. Plus 2 turnovers. GS deserves a little credit for shutting us down, but more than that it was horrible offense.

I would add that sitting Mike the last 5 min was totally stupid.

Hi all, i come in peace.

I agree that Randle is an on-court chemistry killer. GS had one of those last year: Klay Thompson. Buddy Hield is Klay but with a motor and team oriented, and its made a difference. I think Minny will take another step forward once Randle is gone.

He’s obviously not as bad on that end, especially when playing without Ant. But when you play with two ball stoppers, it’s a problem. The entire offensive flow dies. Neither makes quick decisions with the ball when it’s being swung, especially Randle.

Someone mentioned just let him walk. I think we’ll keep him at the deadline because there probably won’t be much of a market for him. Then it becomes whether he opts out or not. If he doesn’t opt out, my guess is we look to move him unless he turns it around this year. If he opts out, I can completely seeing us let him walk. NAW and Naz will be higher priorities, and we don’t have the money for all three.

I don't mind him take a few back to the basket dribbles but he needs to pass the ball when people are open, instead of when he runs out of options. The flow will be much better.

Looks like LeBron won’t be suiting up against us on Friday

It is actually bad for us. I'd expect another low effort game from Edwards and Randle.

Maybe. I tend to think it’s more about Rudy and the second unit. Hopefully Finch lets Naz close the game as well.

Oh boy... that game was so ugly no reason for that

I'm sure if the wolves win the next game nobody will say a peep

You want me to comment on how many shots Ant and Randle took without passing. Or how they played keep away from Jaden on his special night. Or how bad things looked with Dilly and Mike together. Everything I said before is still true and this should have been a blowout win. The Spurs were missing a ton of wide open 3s, and on one possession they took 5 shots before Barnes finally drained one. Another favorite is when Randle ran into Rudy to intercept a pass meant for Rudy. Randle fell down after missing a double contested layup, then on the fast break the other way Harrison Barnes hit an uncontested corner 3. This team is still poorly coached, and Ant and Randle are still playing like As***les. It is just nice that we can still beat a bad team despite that.

Edit to add: the following is about the third quarter, not you. The clip just fit to well not use.

I can't wrap my head around how our GM thought it would be a good idea to trade a player like KAT for a guy who actively makes this team worse every second he spends on the court.

It's insane.

And it's only 50/50 that he is even going to be an expiring contract for us at this point, he could pick up his option.

We still suck. When we don't suck, go ahead and bump anything you want.

Because sometimes there's more to the equation than just Player A vs. Player B.
