Who's the Reclamation Project that you want us to take a flyer on?
Everybody always talks about buying low, so who are some of the guys you want the Raptors to target as throw in types in trades? I'm not really asking for Zion types here though if you want to talk about that kind of thing have at it.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

I've always like Josh Minott and Leonard Miller on the Wolves.
Too bad Isaiah Jackson was injured for the Pacers.
Dieng on Thunder.
Rupert on Blazers.
Jovic on Heat
Not sure this is what you meant. These are all young guys who face a roster crunch.

Those are usually FA (RFA in particular), where teams may not able to afford them. A few names I can think of that fits our needs are
Kuminga, Sharpe (already known to be interested by multiple teams, including us?), Kai Jones (currently in a two-way), Jabari Walker?

These are exactly the types of guys I'm talking about. Leonard Miller is just the kind of guy that we can get thrown in as an asset on top straight 2nds for taking on some additional money.

I mentioned all off-season that Wiggins in the prime bounceback candidate and wanted us to take him on. Now that was before I got on Team Tank so I think we're a season away from making that type of move. Still, would have been great to buy low and then sell high if needed.

Kuminga is interesting but he is more than a throw in and I worry that the Nets would make some crazy offer sheet with their cap space because that is what Marks does. Of that type, I really am interested in Santi Aldama

Yeah that is the thing about those expensive buy low guys, if you suggest them, all you get around here are a bunch of "Do not want" posts. The one that got away that I always think about was Porzingas for a late 1st from the Mavs that deadline. In Wiggins case we probably could got assets on top of that.

Ben Simmons.
gotcha.
gotcha.

So many of the people listed already aren't reclamation projects but just young players you want on the team.

Ya, most here don't understand the concept of "buy low and sell high" or simply dont watch games outside of the raptors and just live off box scores. They think everyone we get should be performing at a top notch level, not understanding that the cost to obtain them becomes much higher.
Good luck getting Wiggins now who is the 2nd best player on a top team in the West but somehow he wouldn't have been good enough for a bottom 4 team in the NBA lol.

The Raps already have a bunch of young guys to develop.

Yeah, to be honest I think it's looking likely they just let Bruce walk.

Yeah, there are two main types of players we can target; young players that cannot crack an NBA rotation and those that are underachieving compared to their contract and may need a change in scenery.
I think Davion Mitchell is a good example of a reclamation project that we took on (was in and out of the Kings rotation). Chris Boucher and probably Bruce Brown (once he comes back from injury) will be possible reclamation projects for other teams to take on.
A couple of players that may be available (due to their underwhelming performance and their teams' financials):
- Zeke Nnaji
- Jabari Smith Jr (up for an extension but Houston has quite a few of these players to decide on).
- DeAndre Hunter
- Day'Ron Sharpe
- Patrick Williams
- Jalen Smith
- Brandon Clarke
- Jaden McDaniels (depends on whether T Wolves want to cut payroll)
- Zion Williamson (yes, the ultimate reclamation projection. Depends on the price of course).
- Cole Anthony

This. Nobody. Nobody that takes any minutes.
Battle is currently not getting minutes and that's really bad.

I disagree with this idea. I think now is the time to decide which young guys you want to invest in further and move the others and cycle through finding guys while picking up assets. Is every young guy on the team someone we want to keep long term?

Josh Minott, Day'Ron Sharpe.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

And is it really worth it to get an older player?
I hardly think we prefer a bigger contract. Would you consider Brown be one as well?
I am not looking forward for Brown having much value other than being an expiring, so I think a young player with a small contract makes more sense.
Afterall, I think getting a pick is better than these type of project in terms of reward. How much of a reward we got from Stephen Jackson few years ago?

Zion is an interesting one, of course. He's got his Duke buddy here, already. And we have the medical staff that nursed Kawhi through to the last championship he'll ever get. AND, he's definitely a position of need for the team.
What would be the price? Brown and Boucher for salary. Pacers 2026 pick, and maybe our 2027 pick. Would they demand prospects like Dick or JFW? I'd give them Dick (lol), but not Walter.

Is Kawhi a reclamation project?

Redraft guys: Jovic would be interesting, he had some hype around him from time to time but seems to have been stuck under 20 mins for the Heat. I guess he could be a second draft guy next year.
Podziemski has taken a step back too this year and has often found himself out of the rotation when the W's are healthy. There could be something there for us.
John Collins could've been interesting - I personally didn't like how he was trending in ATL, but Utah (again) has done a great job of rehabbing his value.
I could be interested in Jalen Smith as a Boucher replacement at PF.
