I was looking at the last 10 regular season games that Robinson, Hartenstein, and Achiuwa played last year.

Robinson averaged 15.5 mpg, Hartenstein averaged 27.4 mpg, Achiuwa played 16.6 mpg

More than likely, I expect Towns and Robinson to split minutes at center, with Achiuwa getting 3rd string C minutes and minutes at the 4 spot.

He starts his game at the perimeter as much as any stretch big in the NBA and is essentially positionless on offense

His rebounding occurs out of all of that

There was a quote from an article about while back. I posted it but I have to do some digging for it. I'll find it and repost it

Morning thoughts

Brunson with 11 assists and again over 30 assists as a team. That last pass to KAT for the layup was money t take the lead with 36 secs left. Best playmaking PG and best Knicks offense in team history!

KAT with another monster game and clutch 3 and 6 assists. That over the shoulder one to Bridges was sweet! But my heart stops when he drives to the hoop and goes down. KAT is a big dude and I just hope those knees and feet hold up.

Bridges has slowly but surely figured out his role offensively. He hit some timely shots in this game but his lapses on defense are still frustrating. It's just nice to see him start to put together a string of games shooting it well. He seems like a player who plays better defense when his shot is falling.

OG with all the little plays in this game including that block there at the end. He just fits so well here.

I don't get fans, er, trolls who feel the need to bash RJ. This kid helped revive this dead franchise. Yeah, he didn't live up to the expectations of being a franchise player as the 3rd pick but he played his heart out and always conducted himself as a true professional, even as a teenager. Nothing but love for him! Played well and looked like the best player on the floor at times but that tunnel vision and lack of elite athleticism did him in. But he's still a nice player who has proven he can help a team win.

Now go win this Cup!

I’m glad we didn’t do what some wanted and give up draft picks trying to bring in Masai who gifted us OG and has run the raptors into the ground and instead just went and got Leon

At that time, I just wanted Dolan to get rid of Steve Mills.

Guys here actually spent months bashing KAT and trying to convince us that Randle is better.

Some folks don't know basketball at all; just groupies.

While Towns clearly is the better of the two I don't think it's fair to call Randle ass either.
Randles numbers are decent. .489 FG% is decent. With that said, Randle is not as much a direct contributor to success as KAT is.
point one blocks is nasty work

Dear I say rim protector??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kat staying on his feet here was huge - he far too often anticipates jumping and falls for the pump fake. leading to either an easy shot or a foul.

Thanks for the gif "offense". When he ended the game this way I originally thought that has to be the OP post for the PG thread.
I put the video clip originally when i created the thread but once I saw your post and wingos other video post - I updated the "op" post
with both images-- nice gif :D

None of the rookies played but everyone is much happier after a win than another loss with 15 minutes from Hukporti.

I don't know what position KAT wants to play but it seems his advantages at the 5 offensively are much greater than they are at the 4. It opens up the court, pulls the opposing center away from the rim and gives he and the team more space to operate. He has been able to attack over aggressive closeouts , take the open shots when they don't closeout quick enough and still make great passes while controlling the glass.

At the 4 he only really has a size advantage where I guess he could try to operate out of the post more but that has not been a strength of his so far this year and would be much more difficult with Mitch clogging the paint. Defensively I don't know what KAT looks like at the 4 for the Knicks since Thibs has refused to play him at the 4 next to Sims or Huk which is a bit odd since he has been running the wings into the ground playing the 2-4 spots.

I still assume Thibs will attempt KAT and Mitch together for short stretches but I could also see him just reducing KAT's minutes a little and just giving the Mitch the backup 5 minutes without KAT on the court. Also i'm not sure I like the idea of paying KAT $50-60M to be a stretch 4 with average defense in a league full of stretch 4's. I'm curious if the defensive gains of Mitch at the 5 will outweigh the offensive losses. Either way the return of Mitch does give the team more flexibility.
