Prince is doing a better job at selling himself as a defender despite not at all being one better than anyone since Royal Ivey. Or maybe a week of misplaced Beasley optimism. Dude is a standstill shooter and absolutely adds nothing else at all

I don’t know about Charlotte as a trade destination, but I’m going to take a look.
This was in that Fan Duel video podcast I take it?
Hornets just dealt PJ Washington for a now injured Grant Williams and a first rather than extend him. But not like that franchise has ever been so coherent.
Taking a look at their roster and assets too.
Can Nick Richards switch or nah?
Richards is a throw-back, run-and-dunk big man who uses his size and athleticism to command the paint on both ends of the court. So far this season, he's averaged 12.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, and an absurd 2.3 blocks per game while finishing 68 percent of his attempts.
He won't make many spectacular plays on either side of the ball, but he's a capable rim protector and can be counted on to finish lobs, dump-offs, and put-backs. He's a low-cost, high-floor veteran

Yeah... I think thats about right.
Khris coming back pushes him down a level so hopefully he does better against reserves than he has been against starters.

Pretty high standards being held for a vet minimum guy who's literally leading the league in 3PT%. Now that Khris is back, really wanna see the following two lineups get some run:
Dame/Trent/Andre/Khris/Giannis
Dame/Trent/Khris/Prince/Giannis
I basically view it as this team needing to figure out who their small-ball 4 is. Khris, Prince, or somewhat of a wild card here, Andre. And if that guy isn't on the roster, that's where you need to go out and get the mobile PF/C dude on the trade market.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
It's a weird era... there was a time when teams seemed to have lot of PG sized guys they tried to play together with one being an undersized 2; ours were Mo and TJ -- Mo started at the 2 a lot undersized. Now it seems like every team has extra small ball 4s (can't really guard the poster stay in front of guards).. feels like we have like 7 on our roster.

I bought some of those expensive basketball trading cards for my brother last Christmas and he got an autographed Nick Richards card. So I really need Nick Richards to turn into Mark Williams!

Mo started at the 1 when TJ was hurt and came off the bench when he came back, then started again when TJ was traded. Redd was the 2.

Khris for Jimmy Butler has a similar Jrue for Dame vibe to it. Not sure what that looks like or how it works but it’s interesting.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

Isn't the answer here mostly just that the Bucks need to play small against the Celtics? We already have a very mobile, switchable big on the roster - his name is Giannis.
The closing lineup against Boston needs to be Dame/AJ Green/Prince/Middleton/Giannis. That matches their shooting and gives us a defensive lineup that can switch and not get killed by Horford/KP pick and pops.
My focus in the trade market would be on adding a big wing that can defend Tatum and/or play some small ball 4.
The problem with that lineup is we can’t rebound the ball and it doesn’t keep Giannis out of foul trouble since he’d be the only guy remotely capable of defending the rim. We need a mobile 5. Keep Giannis at the 4 to take the pressure off of him.
If Boston has a healthy KP (which is equal odds for us having healthy Midds at this point) they probably sweep us. Right now they likely win in 5 or 6.
Actually TPrince was rebounding well in his PF min and so is KM now... Having GA/KM/TP as your 345 gives you rebounding.. I'd try this death lineup.. good post
It would be hilarious watching Middleton and Prince try to compete with Boston for rebounds. They could do fine going against Sam Hauser I guess.
Khris has 5 rebounds this year, to say he’s rebounding well is something else. Are we sure he can even jump over a basketball?

Boston's a mediocre rebounding team so that's a weird worry to have. Again, the whole point of going small is to sacrifice rebounding in favor of defensive versatility.

They were the best rebounding team in the league last season.

Based on what?
Total rebounds or rebounds per 100 possessions.
Total rebounds they were second to Golden State.
Per 100 possessions they were number 1.
