Lakers dump bad contracts for a more productive vet. They also gain $5-6M in room away from the 2nd apron to help with future trades/signings, as they were currently just $30k under the 2nd apron.
Wizards get a likely future 1st out of Kuzma, and multiple 2nds, enough said.

Lakers trading one of their last few assets to solve zero team needs would be on character for them, for sure, but still a bad trade.
